NC in Chicago

Hey everyone,
I'm a realitivly new fan. First heard/saw Nickel Creek in June of this year. They opened for Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. It was such a great show! I esp. enjoyed it when Bela came out and played The Fox with NC. Great ending to their set. Anywho, I think they need to come round here more often. I know they are from the west coast so they have to show some love out there, but I dunno if I can wait until next summer to see them!!!!!

Bring the Creek back to Chicago!

Cool! Where were you sitting at Ravinia? I should've gotten seats instead of lawn-ning it. And, I should've known better ;) and gotten in line sooner to meet NC. Got to meet Bela though.

I lawned it. It was a good time though. I didnt get to meet anyone cause the people I was with wanted to get outta there. I did meet Bela and all the Flecktones two years prior. They are good guys. Futureman is really down to earth and commented on my girlfriends cross. Had I known I would fall in love with the Creek, I woulda stuck around and met them. My buddy got an entire band autograph from the Creek. Man, cant wait for their next Chicago show!

The Creek didn't stay - besides their 15 minute halftime gig signing like maybe 50 people's stuff (boo!) their manager came out and we asked if they could hang after the show and he said nope, they were hitting the road right after (especially since they were only openers). So, I'm hoping there's a next time, definitely. :)
