Hello hello,
I am currently a violist although I originally switched from violin and I am really frustrated with the lack of interesting non-classical music available for a viola. It feels like all the violinists out there get the cool parts! If anyone knows where to get some good music for a viola PLEASE HELP!!

Hi Kate!
Wow! Another violist!:)
I like to play out of Mel Bay's Fiddling for Viola. It's got quite a few great fiddling tunes.
Although the introduction goes on a bit about how much better the violin sounds than the viola. Didn't quite appreciate that as a native violist.
Ah well...it's still a wonderful book.
In case you'd have to order it (if you want to) the little number up in the corner is MB97809.
Good luck! Let me know if you find any other good viola books out there. Heaven knows they are few and far between.

Grace,
Christy
