Just wonderin' if they've set a date? Does ne-1 know? Will they post pictures of the wedding on the website, or have country weekly come out and take pictures? I love weddings :) *sniffle*!!!

Aww man!!! If I were getting married and I were famous enough to get country weekly to come out and do a story I would! If I loved someone that much I would wanna shout it from the roof tops :) but I guess it takes all kinds :D!! Darn, and I was looking forward to seeing Jesse's dress :(!! Oh well!! Have fun kids!

I talked to chris last july and he told me that he plans on getting married sometime this summer, perhaps in july of 2003.

Who is Jesse? I keep hearing about her. I'm new so I have no idea who she is. From the posts I've read she's Chris's fiance. But how do all these people on the message boards know who she is?
Hey, folks... I think we're treading into ground that the band has asked us not to tread into.
Here's what has been publically stated.
Jesse is Chris Thile's fiance.
They are getting married.
They haven't set a definite date, and it will probably not be a public thing when they do.
The band prefers not to have any discussion of their private lives, so let's just leave it at that, please!!
Thanks much!

I just don't understand what's so private about getting married...I mean it's public record, when you go out in public you are married to that person and you introduce them as your husband or wife. I guess I just must be an exhibitionist *LOL*!! NE-wayz it's not like we're trying to pry into anything that would disparage the band. To me private is something which you do not want to be exposed in public. But I guess different people require different levels of privacy. I was just wondering...I didn't think it would make anyone upset since they're excited and all. But now that I know where the line is I won't cross it again.
Apologetically,

i guess they don't want it to be *private* kind of private, but maybe like, if they say something about a date, millions of people will flock to every single church in nashville and san diego and swarm it and try to see chris and jesse getting married....see I kinda wouldn't want that..lol not to put you down or anything, candace...lol i jush tryin to help...lol but that would be really funny if people kind of swarmed any random church in every state in hopes it would be the one they were getting married...lol, now I don't know jesse, and I know some of the folks on the board do, but from what everyone says she's wicked nice, and lol I've never met the band, as like..98% of the folks here did...lol but anywho, that's what I think they mean by private....

I just never thought country fans were that hysterical...especially Nickel Creek fans. They all seem relatively low key and I doubt that would happen. Most country acts don't have very much security to speak of. I can understand if a hanson or a backstreet boy or an *Nysnc member were getting married why they wouldn't want people to know...b/c they're fans are screaming and hysterical *LOL*!!! But I suppose I can understand... I just don't think that NC have those type of fans ;)!! I'm cool with it...it's their wedding!! :) They definitely have my blessing :D!! I was just wondering.

it is not a matter of extreme fans running and screaming twards you- or showing up at every chucrh on the date of the weding- it is simply once you get as well known as creek is, if you arn't carefull wiht privacy, there is none left- just becuase of the sheer number of people-
think of it as if all of your quiet, introverted, me time all of a sudden was broadcast to not only everyone you knew, but also to thousands of people you have never met- they are people in the same way, and need some of them left to themselves, and those family and friends close to them-
this is in fact very similiar to the consept behind beauty and the mess
