I am a mandolin fanatic so as a small warning I wish to bring up a editors error in the Thile companion book for the Thile video from homespun. This isn't a big deal, but if you play this wrong (and learn it wrong) your fingers may complain when you have to relearn it later.
On the scale exercises, on the G minor one (page 6). The sixth note in the second measure indicates that the note should be on the E string 7th fret. This is incorect, it should be the E string 6th fret. The standard notation is correct ( as per the key signature) but the tab is wrong.
PS, if you have no idea what I am talking about, yet are a mandolin player, GET THIS SET is it phenomanal in helping a player get started. Just make sure to pencil in the tab change :)
