Is it just me, or is having the Tour Schedule and Concerts & Articles and Reviews forums as Sub-topics of the General Discussion forum totally annoying and inconvenient? I hate having to hit Mark as Read twice for the same forum. Plus, I guess I just don't see how those two things fit as Sub-topics of Gen. Disc. Am I alone on this, and should therefore shut my mouth? Or, are there more of us that would find it more convenient to have those two forums listed by themselves on the front page with the others?

You are not alone on this one. That has been my thought from the start, but didn't want to overstep my bounds as a newbie....
:D
But I agree to them being moved......

DOWN WITH SUB-TOPICS!!

i may change the layout here in a bit... there may be more sections added because of the added # of people and traffic to keep sanity.... so there are a couple things to consider... it is a little more inconvient- but far beats havign all the messages in one place...

also.. you can always click the view new posts at the top of the home page- and it shows all unread posts...

you don't need to click on the mark this forum as read- it will mark all things as read in a forum 5 mins or so after you are finished reading them...

yea- it might be 15 mins. next time you get on after being off for a while.....- try clicking on the read all unread posts- then you only have to look through 1 page of messages. rather then going through 6 forums to read all the posts- as we are avg. 100 posts a day now.. so there might be quite afew there....

I've never seen a Read All Unread Posts, especially not where you say to look. I DO see a View New Posts in the upper right of the screen, so I use that.
