Does chris always wear that hat at every concert? You know the hat I'm talking about. This one http://www.nickelcreek.com/images/thissidetour/lenhard_chrissolo.htm It covers his signature hair!
LOL, he seems to like it eh? Neither concert I saw featured the happy lil hat. Maybe it's for bad hair days/nights? [lloll]

In a few scenes in the music video When You Come Back down he's wearing that hat. The concert I saw of them he wore a blue baseball cap on backwards.

<-------- -points to avatar- heehee..i even drew it on him!
he wore that at the workshops and the concert the last two times i saw him..i like it lol....my sister says he looks like Bert (from Mary Poppins) when he turns it around, at the Somervile show he had it turned around and every twenty minutes or so he'd tip his hat, they had a whole on stage conversation about tipping the hat, saying how British it was or something like that...

Both times I saw them in Oregon he was wearing that hat. I have proof. *Ornot points to the link in the quote* That would be one of my pictures that I submitted. *Swells with pride* Ok, shameless plug is gone. Anywho, i swear i've seen him wear that thing in some interviews I've seen on TV, but i may be wrong. Personally, i've got this beat up old north face logo baseball cap that I wear all the time....I guess we all have our thing....

heehee!! chris wore that at one of my shows and people were screaming at him to take it off. he very shyly said no and grabbed it and was like, i like this hat it was so darling. personally i like that hat. not very many people can wear hats like that and make them work for them :P

Maybe they didn't want him to wear it because it was blocking his face? I hate when people wear ball caps and ya can't see them.

I like that hat. In fact, i have several just like it. I'm a hat kinda girl, ya know? When i don't feel like brushing my hair, I'll just slip a hat on. Most of the time, i waer my green winter hat, thoguh. Even in 100 degree heat!

I'm not talking about looks though... it's nice to see people's facial expressions and no shadow on someone's face. when i talk to people i like to be able to make eye contact to see if they're rolling their eyes outta boredom lol.

I don't mind that it covers the hair, the hat is just the coolest thing ever!
and I loved it when he tipped it...lol I want a cap like that...I'll look really corny but I don't care, I love those,....hehe :)

I have to say that Chris can look cool with or without out the hat.
Also does anyone know exactly what kind of hat that is and where I can find one?
Respectfully,
PJ

Its a Kangol hat not a scottish touring cap, but ive been trying to figure out what kind it is, and with no luck...does anyone know what kind of Kangol hat it is exactly??

I'm not sure of the actual name of that kind of hat, but, I know my sis has been wanting one for a long time...now when she sees Chris wearing it, she screams out He's got my hat!!!! *hehehe* Is it just me, or does it seem like that hat is everywhere now? I can barely look around without seeing at least one person wearing one...[think har
P.S. but its about the music, heehee music first, looks second!
I'm not pointing fingers or trying to start an argument (I hate confrontations:o ) but I totally agree with you nitejule, I'm getting pretty tired of hearing people...erm...commenting, on Sean/Chris/Sara's looks...complementing is one thing, joking can be okay, but obbsessing is another... let's remember what we're here for anyway! [noise] NICKEL CREEK ROCKS!! WOOOHOOO! [party] :D
P.P.S. one weird tendancy I have with hats is that, I [B]cannot, and will not wear a hat without wearing some type of shoes. :o Don't ask me why, I just feel weird when I don't wear shoes on with the hat! ... :D

Kangol hats aren't really like the scottish caps, but Samuel L. Jackson has been known to wear them a lot. Their emblem is a silhouette of a kanagaroo jumping. No, I personally don't own one, but I have seen them before. Try online to see if anyone sells them or go on Ebay
Do you think the reason my mando playin sounds pants is cos i don't have one of those hats?[think] I mean it couldn't be because I have no musical talent, or skill could it? Yeh it's all in the hat, it has to be the hat;)

Nah,
But I think it would give you certain character though if you did get that one, or any other hat for that matter.

He sure wore that hat at the concert in Seattle! It was, like, clued to his head. But, I think it came off as soon as the concert was over. Fascinating . . .

I think I saw a pic from the grammys and Sara had on a hat like that. It was probably the same hat that she had stolen from Chris. Anyone else see it? Am I making it up? Possibly.
Guesswho_Chick

I saw it! It was posted on a grammy thread on this board - looked like Chris' but it was light brown I think! :) You're not imagining it - or you've sucked me into your delusion! Eeek!!! ;)

Maybe that hat is like his super cape? I think he looks sexy. Keeps his hair down, too.

It's probably a good luck thing! Chris may get luck from the hat! The others may have good luck charms to. Sara might have lucky flip-flops (or lack there of, at my concert she didnt wear shoes), Sean could have a lucky pick, or a shirt.

He didn't wear that hat at the concert I went to, but I TOTALLY LOVE IT!!! Every time I see a picture of him in that hat I crack up, because it just shows how much he wants to be himself. But I know he doesn't just wear it when he has bad hair days, because at the concert I went to his hair was really bad (but GREAT in a Chris kind of way) but he still wasn't wearing the hat. Maybe he wears it when his ears get cold.[think]

He wore a baseball cap at the show I went to in Chicago, which was really annoying, since from the angle I was looking from, his face was totally shaded all the time, and I couldn't see his expression!

In Austin (Stubb's), sometime during the (literally) unplugged part at the end when the band was at the edge of the stage, the hat ended up on the stage! I honestly don't remember if it fell off or if he took it off but when they left the stage the hat was left laying there about a foot from the edge. I pointed it out to one of the stage crew 'cos I knew that someone was going to grab it otherwise!

my brother has what he's dubbed as magic hair, which is pretty identical to Chris's, when he tries (i repeat: tries) to grow it out. he wears a hat to keep it under control except for that one or two weeks immediately after getting a hair cut when it still looks.. humane ;)
chris has great Magic Hair. he definitely knows how to work it to fit his personality. usually.[shock]

:) Chris didn't wear his hat to the concert I just went to but I was in Target and they had a few like it! I don't remember what they called it, but they had a few different styles/colors (most corderoy). Of course, I saw them and thought of Chris! I've always loved that style and if I were a hat person I would wear it, but alas...
Anyway so if any of you wanted one, try Target!

I have seen that hat on the move Seabiscuit!!! Tobey Maguire was wearing a hat like that, and so were all of the other jockeys, and when I saw it I was like, Hey, that's Chris's hat!!! But I don't think anyone else got it. So it must be a jockey hat.

I was standing 2 rows back in front of Mr. Thile. it was sweet when they played acoustically and made everyone shut up. yo do you know a kid called Evan Slater, hes from plattesburgh and seems to know everyone there. I go to school with him at SLU.

I saw them in Cleveland last Thursday and asked him about his hat... he said that he got one at a Bannana Republic, one in Scottland, and another one was a Kangol hat.

This is really cool....my son (all of 9 years old) just came home with one of those hats last weekend (bought at Banana Republic when he was with his dad). He even wears it backwards. I told him that Chris wears one like that...being a new NC fan, he was kinda thrilled. Now wait until I tell him that Chris got his at Banana Republic too! It's authentic!
