Favorite Music Stores

When my husband and I travel around the country one of our favorite things to do is visit music shops. In doing so we have found a couple of music stores that we wish all music stores were like. I'm just curious since there are alot of musican here as to what are your favorite music stores. Places to check out on our future travels.

Currently the top of our list is Acoustic Outfitters in Stratham, NH and Appalachian Music in Catonsville, Md.

wood wind and brasswind [www.wwandbw.com]is south bend is big, but a definate sotpping place- [tee hee] thaousands of guitars to play, etc... i could waste days ther - [ and halve almost]
other shops to check out is nashville violin shop run by fred carpenter.

Hames Music Store in Gaffney, SC (about 30 mins outside of Charlotte, NC) is pretty good. I always stop there on my way up to North Carolina to see my family. They have a nice variety of instruments and music.

As you're walking out of the store there is a banner that says, You might be a musician if you have an instrument that is worth more than your car. :cool:
