I saw Nickel Creek on 2/26 and they were great! In one of their songs, they inserted some short rock lyrics from a song I cannot remember the name of! It was either during The Fox or Ode. My husband is a big rock fan and also bluegrass-he would love to see the connection between the two. Anyone know if they do that often or what song I'm talking about?! Thanks!

I've seen them instert lyrics in both of those songs. I only know that in The Fox it is Bob Dylan's Subterranean Homesick Blues.

I was at that show...they sang during the fox Nivana's Come As You Are....it was a really cool use of a great rock song...

I found the lyrics they insterted in Ode To A Butterfly. It's Nirvana's song Lithium.

The words would have to be in The Fox because Ode To A Butterfly does not have any words. It's an instrumental.

i know ode to a butterfly is an instrumental but in the middle of the song i've heard them instert those lyrics.

Does anybody know what instrument Chris uses on the Smoothie Song? I think its Bazooki, but it could also be a tuned down mandolin, I did that today, its FUN.
