Ok, To those of you who remember searching for that best beginner Mandolin instruction video... please share your wisdom!! I have looked and looked online and there is a ton of stuff out there. What do you recommend for total beginners?? Uh, did I mention that I was a beginner :-)) [sacred!]

What about the Mel Bay stuff?? Anyone can play Mandolin ?? I want the easiest learning tools of course BUT don't want to learn bad habits, etc..
I will eventually get the Chris Thile video but it looks like it is not for the beginner.

Also, I am looking for an inexpensive gigbag that come in colors. Preferably that will fit an A or F. Anyone have a link?

Thanks for any Mando wisdom you wanna throw my way!!

Hi there,

Well, as I have said to others, the Chris Thile mandolin video is THE BEST instruction video, for beginner, intermediate, and advanced mandolin learners. Why? It incorperates the theory needed to began, the scales that go with, and the tecnique with which to learn it then. Also, it gives you some tunes to work on, to increase your repritoire of tunes. I say that there is NO better instruction video for any kind of learner. Hope that helped you!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
