Anytime you see Nickel Creek on TV (even if it's just a tape) you have to run up & be RICHT infront of it, or it's not even worth watching?

No, it's not just you. I do that a lot too. It's probably mostly when I don't have my glasses on though; I'm nearsighted. [think] But yeah, I do find myself standing if front of the TV to watch them a lot when I don't usually do that to watch anything else.

ooh I do that ALL THE TIME! I get so close and turn it up as if the world would absorb all the sound before I got the chance to hear it! Its a Creek thing!

I do that too! I was talkin' to my mom and NC came on and I gasped a HUGE gasp and glued my face to the TV. Heather (my sister) was (and always is) like can't you just go listen to them in your room! I was like yeah but I can't watch 'em!!! She just don't get it!

It is all about absorbing everything. Or maybe I just need a BIIIG screen TV, then I don't have to sit on the floor infront of the TV.

That is SO funny!! [lloll] I do that ALL the time. It is great, the other day I just happened to flip to CMT at the right time and This Side was on. I was sitting on my bed and I jumped out of it and got right in front of the TV. In my dorm room our TV is on top of a bookshelf, so I get on my knees in my chair just to be at head level with the TV. My roommate thinks I'm weird. I also don't like anyone talking while they are on TV. I need to absorb it all with NO distractions!! :D

I jump up and SCREAM a few nites ago, it was like....2 AM and I saw this side,. i JUMPED and was like ITS NICKEL CREEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and then I realised that it was late and I shouldn't have screamed...oops

I do that all the time. I remember the first time I saw them, on JayLeno, I sat about 3 feet away from the TV so I didnt miss a note.

I know exactly what you mean!! When NC comes on, the TV gets turned up and my brother knows there's no use in telling me to turn it down, because I'll just turn it up louder, and if he comes to bug me, he'll end up with the remote a permanent part of his forehead.

That's kinda crazy. I never realized that I do that until now. It's not just with Nickel Creek though...well, mostly with them. But it's also when other people are on TV that I like who I don't really see on regular television often (because I don't have cable). I did that with Andrea Bocelli and Sara Brightman the other day now that I think of it...haha

Yea!!! I thought that it was just me!! Whenever they come on, I have to turn the volume up and stand in front of the tv...and there must be complete silence in the house...or else. I just get too excited. I'm so glad to know other people do this too.
