Nickel Creek on CMT this weekend

I hadn't seen it mentioned, though maybe everyone is aware already, CMT has been running a week of specials in the evening loosely related to bluegrass music. The On the Verge profile of Nickel Creek has already run a couple times and will run again this evening at 6 ET/PT and 3:30 ET/PT.

Just FYI! Check CMT's website at www.country.com for the full scoop, and Nickel Creek's website to double check the times I just gave...my memory isn't the best! :-)

I've been watching the Bluegrass stuff this week also. I've already seen the On The Verge episode several times and The Bluegrass Sound show is pretty cool too. It showed NC and also Chris playing in Dolly's band!:)

I was please to catch and video tape the Nickel Creek special on CMTV this weekend as, well let me explain.

During the first week of January I was surfing the TV and landed on CMTV, which is not my normal viewing station. I saw this band performing that I have never seen before. I turned the surround sound system on and was jamming! Sad thing the show was almost over but caught the name of the band...Nickel Creek. Dashed to the computer and found the officials web-site and read through the entire page. Went out the next day and bought their album and now been collecting all the live shows I can locate from friends here and there. So this weekend I was pleased to see the rebroadcast that started all this for me and video taped it. Hmm, another great thing is that they will be playing Nashville in Feb and my wife and I are planing to attend.

By nature I'm a Progressive Rock fan but NC is some of the freshest real music I have heard in years!
