[evil eye] Has anyone bought their tickets to the Telluride Blue Grass Festival in June 2003? I cant wait to see Nickel Creek jamming there with all those other bands. A little birdie told me that if you dont buy your tickets before 1/31/03, youre going to pay a fortune.
Have a great weekend!!!!

I am really interested in going..anyone know where you fly into to get to Telluride? What about places to stay that aren't crazy expensive? Just wondering how much this would cost all together before I decide to go. Of course, I will do some research, but I just thought I would ask since people seem to be knowledgable about this festival here... any info is much appreciated. Thanks!

I just lookked to see how much the bill would run me to come...and the flight alone from Tulsa would cost me around $600. Wow! I love Nickel Creek, but they are going to have to come a lot closer to me. If I could find decent airfare, I would make a vacation of it and take in some skiing and maybe a massage, but that stretch from Denver to Telluride kills ya on price. But, driving Telluride is still almost 400 miles from Denver. Whew, I don't think it's do-able. Darn, and I got all excited!

I definitely agree it is a long and expensive trip. The way to do it would be to drive there, but my husband and I would have to take off 4 extra days of work (2 there and 2 back). Flying would be nice, but it would cost an arm and a leg, plus hotel for 4 nights, food, passes, and spending money, not to mention additional transportation. We have decided that we could put a good dent in redecorating our kitchen for the same price!! I'm really disappointed at this point, but maybe NC will come to a festival in TN or KY.
I would LOVE to go... but my extra (when is it ever really extra? LOL) money is going to send me to music camp this summer. I'd love to go eventually, most definately on my list of things I must do! ;) It's purty pricey if you live out of the area. I spose I'll just have to be content with my Thile/Marshall tickies for the time being! Those who do go... take LOTS of piccies!! :D

So, there's an off chance I'm vacationing with my family in Colorado that week of June... but whoa, 400 miles from Denver? That's quite a ways... is there a closer major city to Telluride?

Gotta go to this. Anyone want to take a road trip? Or at least share a camp site. I don't want to miss this, but it certainly would be less fun alone (not to mention more expensive!).
