This might piss some people off, buy hEy im bored so i thought id give it a whirl.

We dont really ever get to say much about each other. So this thread can be a place where we can get things off our chest. Anything about anything. Oh, and it doesnt have to be just about each other, just anything in general.

For example: it really sucks when someone steals your avatar and you have to get a new one.

just say if you think this is a really bad idea.

I would have to say, I think that is a bad idea. But, I do love your new avatar. If that makes things better. I don't know what your old one looked like, but this one is awesome!

I'm going with the school idea. I hate that I have to leave home and go back to school on Tuesday! It always gets a little depressing washing clothes to go back and packing the car. I also hate that my best friend and roomate at school has decided to transfer schools next year and didn't even bother to tell me, I had to find out from my Aunts brother who was fixing her car and she told him before me! She wasn't even planning on telling me till the end of this comin semester either! I also hate what I'm going through with her, we are having one of the lowest points of the friendship. She doesn't feel she can tell me anything anymore b/c she feels I'm too judgmental and all I do is this [nono] Well over the summer she didn't talk to me for a month b/c she was dating a guy she knew I wouldn't approve of-but who would approve of someone who does drugs anyways!! She sat at his house while him and his friends did drugs!! Now what kind of friend would I be if I approved of that?! I only found out b/c one day we were at the mall and we ran into him and I was like who is that? She wasn't ever going to tell me that either!! it's funny how I always seem to find out the things she trys to hide. But it's always worse finding out b/c then you know what she was hiding and that she didn't feel she could tell me(which is what hurts the most) Sorry for venting like this, I'm just pretty mad b/c of all of the changes that have happened in the past year, and I've known her since 7th grade and we're now sophomores in college, so there is a lot attached to this problem. and is it really hateful of me for not talking to her over the whole Christmas break. She keeps calling but I don't answer the phone-I just don't want to deal with it. I'll have to on Tuesday though when I go back to school.
Again I apologize for posting something like this when everyone else is just talking about veggies...so...I hate squash ;)

I hate when the morons on campus are double-parked so I cannot park beside them, and then I have to park about a mile away from civilization, and then it starts to rain/snow heavily as I trudge to math class where I have to thaw my hair! Oh that makes me soooo mad.

I also hate when I say something about Nickel Creek and somebody says, Nickel Who? or even worse, You mean Nickel Back? (especially at CD stores).

I hate when I say I like Nickel Creek and people go oh so you're a country fan? NO. Not all country is bad mind you, I'm open to all genres, but what most people think of when they hear country now is like Toby Keith and Kenny Chesney, which in my humble opinion, is crap. The End.

Oh ya, I'm with Robin in the fact that all alone, I'm doin ok on the mandolin, but play for someone else and I'm blundering and clunkers every few notes..ARGHHH!

I hate how the assistant manger is breathing down my neck all the time just because I'm only 17! I'm not incompetent, I know how to vacuum a floor, move boxes, ring people up, help them find the right shelf for their wall....(This post isn't the rebellious teenager speaking, this is the almost adult getting angry because there are new people working who need someone breathing down their necks, and she won't even bother them.)

I do feel much better.

I forgot about this thread until Ornot posted again. I shall just have to come back here more often.

OO! I thought of something else! I hate it when people chew me out because they're mad at something someone else has done. (That's pretty general, but it's been happening a lot lately) And after I get chewed out, I have to fix their mistakes.

I hate it when I'm on a certain diet that doesn't allow real sugar, which means I can't have chocolate on or near a holiday that centers around chocolate. So what if I've lost 15 pounds and gone down 2 pants sizes? Screw that, I want some chocolate!!! Though it would taste really badly by now, I'm sure.

I hate it when I'm sick and can barely breathe, and when it feels like I'm coughing up my lung. This means I can't sing. And when I can't sing, I get unhappy, and when I get unhappy, people die. Perhaps I should find some other way of relieving stress until I get better...

I hate it when my friends ignore me just because I sometimes feel that they are doing stupid, immature things and don't really want to join in because, well, it's stupid and immature. I also hate it when they force things on me, like going to prom in a huge group when they know I don't like huge groups and I'll feel rather uncomfortable, but do they care? Nooooo, I can just get over it. I swear, if I wasn't already having my dress made, I'd say screw it, I'm staying home.

I hate it when my friends threaten to change the bluegrass channel on digital cable when I've just found that they are playing Chris Thile, so I have to threaten to hurt them if they change that channel, and then they do, and they get hurt, and I win and change it back, but it's too late.

I hate it when my dad says that Avril Lavinge is original just to get on my nerves because I said that Parade magazine (which comes in our Sunday paper) should do an article on real musicians, not pre-packaged stuff (in my opinion) like that, and then he says Oh, Nickel Creek can walk on water, can't they? I said, I don't know, Dad, they might. and rolled my eyes and walked away.

I hate it when I get in a rotten mood and stay in it for days. Thought I'd be better by now. *shrugs* I will be soon. Perhaps extended listening to music today will help.

Gee, I feel better!

Wow, this thread is a real stress reliever!

I hate when you go to the movies and people dig in the popcorn bag like a rat and make that annoying shuffling noise, then cram their mouth full (and make a huge mess in the process) then CHOMP with their mouth open, and then start laughing in mid-chew, spewing popcorn everywhere!! (You have no idea how much better that feels!!)

One other movie pet peeve: when a bunch of 13-14 year-olds come in making a bunch of annoying noises and sit right in front of you and talk through the whole movie. Or they spend the entire movie wriggling around trying to fix the leaks in a 4 foot straw composed of about 5 straws that they stuck together, getting blue slushie all over in the process. I don't have anything personal against 13-14 year old kids, it's just a phase, they'll grow out of it...usually.

I'm going to have to get in on this one....

I DISLIKE the fact that when you order an Iced Tea, they asked sweetened or unsweetened and automatically add lemon. if I wanted something (i.e. sugar or lemon) added to my tea, I would specify. It seems backwards. I always have to specify unsweetened iced tea, when just saying iced tea should suffice.

I DISLIKE how everyone now adds lemon to your water in sit down restaurants. see above.

I DISLIKE when people automatically bring you creamer for your coffee. see above.

i'm all about the plain drinks...unsweetened tea, water, black coffee.

Oh, but i'm not done yet.

I DISLIKE the fact that being 6'8, I can't find any clothes to fit me. I hit my head on things so often, i don't even notice anymore. I always have to duck if there is a ceiling fan in the room that is turned on. My knees hit the dashboard in some vehicles. My feet hang off the bed and I don't have enough money to buy a larger one. When I find something that actually does fit me and I actually like it, it shrinks when I wash it. I HATE being asked if I play basketball. I HATE being asked How's the weather up there. Don't get me wrong, being tall has it's advantages, but I relate my extreme tallness to someone that has problems with being short. All you medium size people be thankful.

I'm with Thilefan on the jam thing. I work up some cool licks and chops, but when I try to put them together while jamming, they just fall apart.

I also Dislike the responsibility that comes with being an adult. (sometimes adult, i guess haha.)

wow, this is great. Jonathan

hmm...

I hate when my husband thinks I can do anything he wants at that exact moment... hey, I have things to do too!

I hate waking up early. That is just plain wrong.

I hate snow and sleet and ice... especially ice. I'm kinda clumsy and I end up slipping and sliding a LOT.

I hate it when the waitresses at work get mad for me not helping them when I am not even on the clock. (I'm a cashier, anyway...) They give me mean looks and stuff...

I hate it when you want a bowl of cereal and you open the fridge to find only a tablespoon of milk left in the jug. grrrr... [grumpy]

And I Really HATE it when my sisters expect me to do things when they ask just because I am good at whatever it is they want. Example: one sister was getting married in July and I was expected to make all the flower arrangements, including the bridal bouquet and bridesmaid's flowers, and anything else she wanted...

Yeah, this did make me feel a bit better... :)

that is a great idea and you should tell the customers about a great trip to a wonderful enchanting place so very green called Greenland. Show them pictures of Iceland but tell them its Greenland, I mean...see the name? everything in the pics are green, so that only makes sense and of course they aren't going to doubt you. You are the travel agent! That would be great! A bunch of morons paying tons of money to go gorgeous Iceland when in reality they end up in a barren frozen land w/nothing on it also known as Greenland. And we could use the ole Norse military trick once more to confuse ppl! HAHA!

and to make this post related, too, i HATE the fact that i had the deviated septum surgery and went through hell for recovery, just to start getting horrid sinus infections again a year later!

I hate high school. And I dislike with a strong passion most other teenagers. Maybe it's because I don't fit in. Who knows? My consolation is that in less than 14 weeks I'll be out of high school. *does a happy dance* And then, sure, I'll still have to deal with other teenagers and not fitting in anywhere, but I'll be allowed to be a cynical college student if I want. *is tempted to sing Freedom*

I hate stale bread.

I also really dislike it when my dad and I are watching TV together and he won't shut up so I can hear the show. Or when he promises to do something for me and doesn't do it until 9 years after he promised.

Goose_17

hey bubbles, i felt much of the way you do about high school and i worried college would be the same, but its not. atleast mine isn't. i have people who never really talked to me in high school, wave me down to say hello, etc. its kinda wierd at first, but be open to it and as much as it seems like you want to be out of high school, enjoy it while it lasts. remember you may never see some of these people again, so if there is anything you ever wanted to tell them...don't hold back now. well have fun, but don't fret, fitting in or not fitting in during high school means nothing once you leave. so i advise that you just view it like that now while you are there.

Thank you guys for all the advice and encouragement. I appreciate it. I'm just really frustrated right now with the whole high school thing and I'm so ready to get out.

Goose, at the moment I'm saying things to people that I've always wanted to say, and they don't seem to like it so much. Maybe it was when I called one of my friends overbearing and a control freak... yeah, she is sorta mad at me right now. I've just become fed up with all my friends and their selfish teenager crap. And I don't fit in with them anymore. Or maybe I'm just angry with certain ones of them for calling Nickel Creek Nickel Crap. 14 weeks... 14 weeks. I'm looking forward to moving away and never seeing some of them again. Maybe my attitude will change as I get older, but as of right now I don't see it happening. *shrugs* I could suddenly become less bitter and cynical and untrusting of people's motives.

I'm glad college is better. If it wasn't I was just going to give up and live in the woods amongst the wild animals for the rest of my life. Or flip hamburgers at some fast food place for the remainder of my days.

hmm... another thing I hate: people trying to fix me up with people I don't know for prom. I've got 2 friends who have made it their personal mission to find me a prom date, but they are only asking band guys (nothing wrong with band guys. a lot of my friends are band guys) who I don't know. I told them I'm going to prom with my friend Ashley and I don't want a date, and if I changed my mind I was taking a cardboard cut out of George W. Bush, but they don't listen!!!! I don't want to go to prom with someone I don't know and have nothing in common with. I'd rather go with my friends and have a good time. *sigh* No one listens to the Amber. I should be used to it.

I also hate the song Footloose that we are singing in chorus. It's pointless, I didn't like the movie, and I don't like singing the song. If we could just sing songs with pretty pretty alto harmony like Danny Boy, I'd be much happier. *sigh*

I'm going to stop my complaining now. That's what my journal is for.

I have been out of HS for three years now and let me tell you...you never see those people again. Which means you lose friends as well as enemies. As for Prom I broke up with my man right before Prom and went with some friends. It was the best night of my life. So far. Much better than my Junior prom when I went with a person I did not know. Stick with Mr. President. Think of it this way, he won't bore you with his mouth! Oh and don't tell your friends off. Very few people are lucky enough to manage to keep HS friends into college. But, it is nice to have them around. Hang in there. College is a blast! Sleep in ...class for two hurs...shop. That is my schedule. AHHH, got to love college!

I think I'll take my turn..

I CANNOT STAND it when people are driving toward you and they don't turn off their brights! What the heck is wrong with people who drive in the mountains??? They like to blind people!

I can't stand cheesey Christian pop songs, such as Plus One's genius lyrics Forver is a long time. or songs that make it sound like life is 100 percent roses and birdies after you accept Christ.

I don't respect history proffessors who make fun of you for three days for sharing an opinion contrary to his...

I can't stand it when I'm a total dork and won't talk to this guy I really like. I'm a shy girl, but seriously, I must have problems...

I can't stand Avril Levigne either....

oh and peole who spell words wrong to make them go with another word e.g. Kardio Kickbox or Kamp KAnakuk One time my school's campus crusade did a Krispy Kreme shirt and they put Kampus Krusade on it-I nearly puked

and I don't like it when the guys upstairs get drunk and pee off the balcony..it's quite gross the next morning when I walk out of my apartment and smell pee, or when I open my door and see a stream of pee soaring across the air...not cool

Most of the posters in this forum have gone with the spirit of the board, which is to be upbeat and positive... and list minor annoyances and things that everyone can relate to.

Let's keep it that way and avoid the potentially hurtful or unpleasant aspects of this, so that we don't have to lock the thread from further posts.

Thank!

If I may...

 I hate having senioritis-like symptoms all through high school, and then finally getting into it halfway through my last year, just to have 50+ page research papers thrown at me!

 What I hate even more is missing out on what I'm sure was an excellent Toad the Wet Sprocket concert, just because of the previously mentioned Asian-Lit-Project-from-hell.

 I also hate that I used to have loverly straight hair that now does just whatever it pleases. *sigh* At least I may take comfort it the fact that it's red, and that redheads are the ones who truly have the most fun! :D

And that's all, I suppose... at least for now.

I'm really sorry that I caused trouble. I didn't mean to do so. I don't even remember half of the stuff I posted. It was 5:30 in the morning and I had just had some controversial conversations. I saw this thread and decided to put my opinions down. From what I remember, I just put basic opinions about very common things. Now that I think about it though, I suppose I understand if the administrators didn't want it on here. But just so everyone knows, I didn't put anything unclean or nasty on here, I wouldn't do that, I promise. So, my most sincere and humble apologies again.

I really hate that people like Nelly get to perform on the Grammy's, even though they have very little talent and have to make up for the lack of it with flashy stage effects and scantily clad dancers. Then, ARTISITS such as our beloved Nickel Creek, who have more talent in their little toe than most of the others pop sensations have combined, don't get any stage time. That really bothers me.

On the prom theme, I hate it when everybody volunteers to help you paint a mural for prom and then back out at the last minute, leaving you to paint a 6 by 20 foot mural of a purple castle by yourself. I now cringe at the sight of purple and glitter. Ugh, what was I thinking when I lowered myself to glitter?

Jocelyn also hates it when people constantly say forget it so that she can't talk back...

Amen!! Sooo annoying . . .. or never mind after something like that . . . erg erg ERG!!! [bang]

LOL Bubbles @ And when I can't sing, I get unhappy, and when I get unhappy, people die. Perhaps I should find some other way of relieving stress until I get better...

I hate when things feel tense in your house cuz everyone's upset and you don't know what about . . . ERG!! :P

Okay - more hates :D

When you're in your room with the door closed, and someone comes in for a second and then leaves without closing the door completely - especially if you're working and have headphones on and it's a mess to get up and close it back - erg!!!

And I hate that all the music clubs in this area rely on drinking and one has some ahem, artistic shadow dancing every wednesday *growls*

Poor linzee! I think if I had to pick one tangible thing that annoyed me, it would be glitter. I used to be okay with it, until I was attacked with it backstage by an overzealous native during a production of South Pacific. (And by native, I mean a blond North Dakotan playing a south pacific islander  ) I was brushing glitter out of my hair for days. Since then, no glitter for me. No sirree.

well, let's bring the hate list on here. I deabted on what to say and made sure it was non-offensive

1.) This war. It needs to be done and over with. Not a peace freak here, but we have a lot of paranoid freaks in this world and they try to scare us with rumors and junk.
2.) People who make snide comments to others and it not only happens in the workplace and at home, but at home and out in public and even on the Internet, especially on chat rooms or message boards (either the people who run it or the guests who are on at that particular moment)
3.) I hate it when parents publicly discipline their children. I believe in the act of discipline of children by their parents. But sheesh, there is a time and place for it. Take them in the closest bathroom and do it there. I don't need to see a mother (and yes, most of the time I see it happening, it's a female) pimp slappin' her child. It disturbs me.
4.) Hollywood actors and singers who make themselves look good on TV these days by protesting the war. Somehow they try to make a statement, but also I think it is to beef up their image. One particular person who can't seem to shut his mouth and is very outspoken is George Clooney. Great actor, bad spokeperson. Oh and Fred Durst at the GrammyUh, I think that we are all in agreeance that this war should end Where did that come from, Fred.
5.)To quote Jack Black from High Fidelity What do you want with kind of sentimental tacky crap music? Which unfortunately is being put out a lot these days. Your Top 40, mainstream foo-foo music. I am glad to see that certain styles are dying a very slow and painful death (f.e. boy bands) It annoyed me in the late 80's and then it made it's comeback in the late 90's
6.) Reality TV, which to me is the exact quite opposite and most of it is laughable. This category is so much like 5 minutes ago
7.) Gossip and slander, it's unescapable. But I believe I am finally at a church, where so far I haven't seen an inkling of it yet.

I think I will stop now, but see how much of it is true

You hate Paula Abdul?! :( I have so many great memories attached to her music of hanging out with one of my cousins and pretending that we were Paula Abdul, Debbie Gibson, and Amy Grant that I could never hate her. I don't think I would like her music that much now though, don't get me wrong.

By the way, I think the first part is do you really want to love me forever and the second part is or am I caught in a hit and run? :p

Rotfl nkl_crk_freek!!! (and thank you anna!!! hehehe) I was really young when the song came out too - I think it helped shape a lot of the stuff I like in music though - it's actually kind of a complicated tune . .. or am I a page in your history tehehehehe LOL!!!!

When I was in first grade (before I was homeschooled) the older kids came to recess after us, and I would stand in the back of the line to go back inside so I could watch the girls dance to that song . .. LOL!!!

And about the lyrics, you're right, like I said, I was only 6, and those are foggy memories of my uncle trying to sing along while watching MTV. Wasn't she up on high beams or something? Just a tad late... but Bubbles, I hear you! I'm a senior as well and there's not been a moment this year when I've actually wanted to stay in high school (I rarely do homework anymore... I sleep through classes... yeah), so Goose, it's great to hear college is a welcome change.

That said, I'm going to complain about a phenomenon I've only experienced in high school... well, middle school on... the habit of ignoring someone you've known for years and simply don't feel is cool enough anymore - in your social realm or whatever. I've been guilty of this myself a couple times in the past, but as of late it's been bothering me more and more... I may be itching to leave high school but it doesn't necessarily mean I don't want to see any of these people again (well, currently yeah, cause they remind me I'm still in school... haha), but... honestly. Do you really need to look away quickly like that... especially if you've known the person since like first grade... man.

(I just read back and it just feels like rambling... I'm guilty of that a lot, sorry if this doesn't make any sense.)

By the way, April... I seriously bust out laughing with the Plus One comment... it's why I stick to Ginny Owens and Third Day.

Now for my number one pet peeve:

THERES THAT TINY CAR IN THERE!

:( Sorry. My car's pretty stinkin' small and I'm guilty of doing that. It's a pain to me too 'cause when I try to find my car I have trouble doing so 'cause I have hidden it without meaning to.

I'll try to do better in the future.

Good One Goose,

I love your humor, are those underwear by the Underoos underwear section as well.

Enjoy school while you can because after that comes something quite a bit easier, college, unless you have sadistic Nazi teachers for profs. And then the most challenging part will come upon you, not immediately, but say after 4-5 years or more depending on what you want to major in, the real world. So if you think you have it tough now, wait for a few years.

How come you can't listen to Chris, there is such a thing as Discman He's your friend.
