I was walking to class this morning and I saw a poster for the Guthrie Bluegrass festival on the the other side of the hall. I cut across all of the traffic and saw that it had NIckel Creek written on the bottom. I got all excited and then I read the date and it was a poster from 2001, or something like that. I was so mad! I went to the office next door and told the they needed to take that old poster down, because it got people all excited about Nickel Creek concerts in OK, then dropped them. They said they liked the war picture and that is why it was still posted. I could have spit on those strangers, for sure!:D

I was actually at that festival. It was wonderful. NC played twice that night I believe and they rocked. The first set was great except for the sound system. It kept humming and buzzing and the engineer was screwing it up. So needless to say NC was a little proturbed at first but it got better. Their last set was on the main stage and the sound was wonderful. They ended up coming out for some encores.
The Kruger Brothers were there and they were really good and funny. Also, a lady named April Virch? sp she was good as well. It was a good day and we got to hear a lot of great music.
missem, what have you been up to? Haven't heard from you in a while.

I was one of the lucky audience members at that festival. Nickel Creek were even greater than I had expected! Their sets were awesome. On the last night, on the main stage, they played Sweet Afton. I was so happy because I had requested it that day from Chris. I thought it was so sweet to remember it and play it for me. I was stoked for sure. April Verch was amazing also. She is one of my favorite fiddlers. She is going to be at Mark O'Connor's camp this year. I am very excited about that. I don't have any idea whether NC will be at the OIBF this year or not. If anyone finds out be sure at post it!!!
