This was in the San Diego Union-Tribune in an interview with the Dixie Chicks (thought their rendition of the National Anthem was great!).

One of the guest musicians on Home is Chris Thile, the virtuoso mandolinist in San Diego's neo-bluegrass sensations Nickel Creek. Maines sounded almost giddy as she sang his praises.
We took my son when he was 4 months old to hear Nickel Creek at a bluegrass festival, and we have their last two albums, she said. Chris is unbelievable. We were auditioning a mandolin player the other day, and said: 'Can you play this solo (from Home)?' And he said, 'Well, that's Chris Thile – he's not natural!' That's so true, and he's so young.
