I need some help!

I was doing some songwriting this afternoon and I wrote something that I really like, its a little celtic style intro. The only problem is that it sounds really really familar. I dont know what song it is or if its just a catchy melody. Please tell me-I dont want to make a fool of myself when i tell people I wrote this. Thanks-

Right at the end, it had a hint of Hard Time Killing Floor Blues, Chris Thomas King (O Brother sndtrk). However, it was only a slight hint.

Sounds awesome. Kinda Eddie Vedder like. And yes, that is a compliment, but w/ more of a blues tone. However, I think it would sound better w/o the mando. Your guitar and voice fill out the song just fine w/o it. Basically, i don't think you need the mando. Jus' my opinion. :)

The mandolin in it is really great.. I prefer it to stay in there, but if you did it without the mandolin I think it would sound great too.

Cool thanks, I think im going to leave the mandolin in because its just so much fun to play.:D What do you think of the lyrics? i wrote them on the spot(while i was recording) and I dont know if they really make much sense.:confused:

sorry i shouldnt have said just matt. matt the fiddler has a couple of samples, at least he used too. anyways they were really good kinda had a dave matthews sound about them.
