What is the story here? Did Chris paint this? Do you have a bigger scan that you would share with me? I like it!

The paintings were created by me (Jeaniegirl) when I was listening to their music and got inspired to paint. I did the first one, Sara's Her Red Violin first and it took me 4 days, plus a few hours the next day. You may not be able to see, but there is sheet music around the instrument and it is covered in oil paint.

The red was a better color as on the original painting you can tell that its sheet music, on the other two (especially the blue one, guitar), you cannot very well.

The second one I finished was for Sean's A Gentleman's Guitar, and my hands at the end of the day (I had been painting for 6 hours straight!), were covered in blue oil paint. A friend joked with me that I looked like a smurf with it on my hands. It took me two days to wash it all off completely.

Chris' and Sean's paintings took longer as they ended up taking 7 days to complete. (The oil paint just did not want to dry and the sheet music kept falling off.)

I think they turned out quite nice, I was just curious what other creeksters thought about them and which ones they liked better.

I had wanted to get everybody who is a fan of theirs to give me their initals which I could put on the sides of the canvas and to give to Nickel Creek their finished paintings with everyone's initials on it. I wnated it to be more a group project than just me doing the paintings. I know how it is when people do things and then other says I wish I could have been a part of that.

So, just let me knowif you want to help....

I looooooove your painting, it's beautiful. I like to paint in my spare time but the only thing I'm really good at is painting Hobbit Holes like Bilbo's house. Ooooooooooh and I'd love my initials on the painting they are KNF.

Cool! That's awesome that their music inspired you to paint those! I think the fiddle one is my favorite. If you decide to do the initials thing, I would love to be included; mine are APK.
