I've heard brief things about it, but I don't know anything more than that it will HOPEFULLY be out in April sometime...sorry!

the new CD coming out in April is not a new Nickel Creek album totally, they backed former Toad The Wet Sprocket lead singer Glen Phillips on the CD, Nickel Creek plays and does harmonies, the CD was recorded in 2000 and has been awaiting release on a label, NC's label Sugar Hill won out over Glen's Gold Circle Records so Sugar Hill is now releasing it
the CD is made up mostly of Bluegrass versions of old Toad Originals, a few songs from Glen's solo CD Abulum as well as a few covers and new Glen originals
Nickel Creek has been known to play 2 of the covers, Think About Your Troubles (Harry Nillson) and La Lune (The Woodburning Project) at their shows, as well as a beautiful cover of Toad's Windmills and Fly From Heaven
Nickel Creek's album of new NC material (IE Green And Grey, etc) is set for a summer/fall 2002 release via Sugar Hill (according to Chris recently backstage)
Glen can be heard singing lead vocals on Let It Fall, the title track from Sean's solo album
he has by far one of the most beautiful voices in rock music, something you don't hear often, he's a damn fine songwriter as well

Got this from Steve, Glen Phillip's Rep earlier (i think Matt just posted it up too) --
2. There has been a bit of inaccurate (rumors, educated guesses,
whathaveyou) talk lately about a few things I'd like to clarify for
clarity's sake.
In regards to the record Glen made with Nickel Creek, the project is tentatively called Mutual Admiration Society. This may change, but for now it's the working title of the project. There were only 11 songs recorded for this project. All 11 songs will be on the record. Any rumors claiming there to be as many at 17 songs tracked is inaccurate. The song lists, etc. will be announced as soon as all the details of the release of the record are worked out. The plan is to have it out this spring. No official date or month set as of now. But trust me, one is coming soon and it is worth the wait.

I sure hope its April! Or sooner, better yet : )
