Wow wow wow...oh my god.I can't even find any words that would give justice to just how incredibly they were tonight. It was my first time seeing Nickel Creek but I've been a lonnnnnnng time fan and I must say this is the best show I've ever been to...ever.I had 4th row seats so yeah that in itself was pretty incredible. It was suprisingly packed at Braden...atleast I thought so.From where I was sitting the crowd was very polite and not rowdy at all...of course there was the one guy in the middle who stood up and yelled a few times....that was funny. The most hilarious thing to me was when Chris out of nowhere started jumping furiously up and down with his legs straight out. He's nuts....but in a very very very good way :)I absolutely loved Sean's new song Locking Doors.Sorry I can't remember the entire setlist right now b/c my mind is still racing.I'd really appreciate it if someone could let me know if you taped the show...I'm not asking to have it b/c I know it takes a while to be able to trade...but please please please please let me know..I will be eternally grateful.Rock on Nickel Creek!!!!!!!!![noise]

freaking great show. I had a disposable camera and took one picture with the flash at the beginning and then i covered the flash for the other ones and some lady took it away. I was pissed because they guy at the beginning said we could take pictures. The show kicked ass. I loved Should've Known Better and the Coldplay lyrics added to Lighthouse. The acoustic stuff was fabulous, I just wish I had my camera!!

The Coldplay lyrics were form Yellow. It was the chourus. They were jamming out the end of it, before they get all quite and sing the beginning again. He sang it twice. It was great. I wonder if anyone was taping it. I saw a mic stand, but it was right near the soundboard so I think it was for that. And I did not get my camera back.

Oh man... *happy sigh followed be girlish giggles*, let me just say wow, what a wonderful night. I just got back from my eight hour drive and had to post about the concert. Let me start with my tiny little bit of griping. The Braden Auditorium is pretty, but their policies suck. They took away my camera when I could have gotten great pictures from the third row. Oh well...anyway... it was one of the best performances I have seen from NC and by far the FUNNIEST. They were REALLY, really on last night, especially Sean. For all of you Sean is Hot gals, I have never seen him as cute as he was last night...seriously. He was just so adorable. The crowd was great, except for one really annoying guy in the second row. He screamed obnoxious phrases such as I love you Sara and Go Chris/ Sean in the middle of songs. It finally got so bad that Sean politely asked for whoever was yelling in the middle of performances to please stop. We all cheered for Sean. Over half of the songs that they played were new. They even debuted Sean's Locking Doors which made me extremely happy. I loved the song about the crack addicts, The Blacksmith/ Crooked Jack, and Peaberry. Well I should probably move on to after the concert. The show ended, and we of course waited around. Then the girl who yelled at me about my camera came in and basically kicked everybody out. So, we headed for the bus. There was already a small crowd gathered there. Then, Chris came out toting his mandolin case. He headed for the bus and assured us that he would be right back out. Moments later he emerged, still carrying his case. My sister and I were toward the back of the crowd, and to our surprise he walked past the majority of the people to just about where we were standing, put his mandolin case down, removed the mandolin, and STARTED TO PLAY!!!! *giggles some more at the thought* He was basically three feet from us. He played some tunes that he said he had been working on, one of which was his 'first attempt at writing blues' which was about the arts dying and how we have become one nation under TV and music has become 'wallpaper for the ears'...very good. Then Sara came up behind him while he was singing, and decided to go get her fiddle. Oh my gosh, they sang and played WYCBD, Hot Pie, and then, the highlight of the evening and probably my entire life, they started playing Jenny From The Block and Oops I Did It Again. Chris was hilarious and had the crowd join in. I know this is becoming really long. After they were done singing and playing, they mingled with the crowd like normal. I had paintings that I had done for each of them. I gave Sara hers, and my sister told her that I was starting to play fiddle. She gave me a fiddle lesson right there, showing me exercises that I should start with. That's right my first fiddle teacher was Sara friggin' Watkins for crying out loud. Then the Braden people turned off all of the outside lights, leaving us in the dark, under a pavillion while it was raining... grr. I gave Chris his painting and we talked about his rendition of Jenny From the Block. He said that he had to work for the little man and expose us to that kind of stuff. I thanked him for the enlightenment. Oh, did I mention this was after he gave me a hug. *more giggles* I gave Sean his and he said that he would put it in his new house. Then, Fielding told them that they had to go. Chris continued to chat and Fielding had to yell at him. Well, that ends the evening, and my dreadfully long recount of it...sorry I ramble when excited.
