Sara has a new journal entry today (April 28) from the tour bus...sounds like the tour is fun and they are having a good time. Anyone with an inside track know what kind of fiddle Chris is thinking about investing in? I hope she and Chris do some twin fiddling when I see them in Memphis
Also, how exactly do you get the job of being a merch girl? I want to quit my job and apply to be a merch girl for NC. :) Now that would be fun.

I don't know, it probably pays something good. And who knows, my may earn a profit of what you sell. You also get the best pay of all... getting to tour with them for a few weeks or so! :)

No kidding about that merch girl being a great job, getting to ride on the NC bus. That would be way more legal than my plans to hide in one of their equipment boxes and then pop out when they were too far away to turn around (I can fit in very small places and am very quiet).:)

Haha! [lolol] You stole my idea! Ha, just joking. How old do you have to be to be the merch girl? It would be a perfect summer job for me.

I think her journal entry is misdated because on 4-28 she was in Knoxville on her way to New Orleans. Joey the merch girl was the girl if you read my Ah Knoxville thread who told me her name wasn't important she seemed kinda mean. Oh well I get to yell her name tomorrow when I see her again.

just clarify, she is busy- but a very wonderful person... you might have caught her at a high level of stress, [as getting ready for a concert can be one of the most stressful jobs if things don't go right....]
..if for some reason the crew is short with you- dont' take it personally ..... unless you are doing things you know you ought not to be doing....

I met the merch girl at the two Va concerts and she was very nice to me! She did seem like a sweetie....but I want her job!

well if you count standing around talking to Fielding stressful then she was stressed out. It was after a show. She and Fielding came over when I asked for a pic with Fielding. I don't know what her deal was. I guess she thought I was hitting on her or something.

I think closing up the merchandise stuff after a concert is probably very stressful. Fielding seemed to be so when I encountered him after one concert. He had to pack up things, count money, and such. I sadly doubt they are taking applications for a new merch girl...so...does anybody know how I can fit into a guitar case. I tried with my sister's...guess I need to do more yoga.

yeah sam..my guess if i were you would be that she thought you were hitting on her maybe. i really hate that w/ppl our age..you can't ask them anything looking like you AREN'T trying to pick them up..check them out..or hook up with them. its so unnerving. but who knows. lets give here the benefit of a doubt. just think next time you can say..hey its not important..how are things going?

wait a sec is she kind of tall and has blond curlyish hair? I'm confused now cause I saw some lady under an umbrella w/fielding and she looked rather stuffy... stuffy. ha! i like that word
yea I'm kind of confused about the date thing too because it said something like tomorrow we'll be in boston or some wierd thing or another

Sara most had to have written that on Friday, April 25 because I was at the Normal, Il concert of which she speaks the night before (April 24). She probably had to send it to Webma'am who probably puts the date of whenever it is actually posted on the sight...that may not be right, but I was confused too and that is all I could come up with.

Well I think if Sara posts in her next journal about how she wrote the wrong date then we will know if she read the threads! But then again maybe she is reading this now and is thinking well if I do write something in my journal them maybe they will know that I am reading their threads. But then again she might be thinking that we are thinking that she is reading out threads. So just maybe she is thinking that it would be better to no write anything in her journal becuase she knows that we know that if she writes in her journal that she posted the wrong date that we will be on to her. Follow me?
