Well everyone time for another Nashville scene story.
I just got back from the movie premier of The Life and Times of Jimmy Martin, a documentary style independent film on Jimmy Martin. Jimmy called me about 2 weeks ago and asked if I could go to the world premier. Of course I said yes and that was that. When I got to the movie theater(which was packed) I looked around to see who was there Jimmy Martin, Earl Scruggs, Josh Graves, Mack Wiseman, Del McCoury, Joe Nichols, Marty Stuart just to name a few:p
Well as for the movie it was great the camera followed Jimmy for over 3 years filming most of his daily life. The film was 66 minutes and covered his childhood and his days with Bill Monroe and the Osbuornes. The movie also covered his love for coone hunting. If anyone lives in a big city look for it cause if you like bluegrass you will LOVE this movie. Just remember If it was not for Jimmy Martin we might not have Nickel Creek.

Most documentaries and indepent films premiere in the bigger cities. This is one time I think it's pretty ironic. HA. ok, sorry.

for the record, this is also one time that i'm jealous that I won't get to see it until they release it on another format other than 35 mm.
