I know some of you on here are NASCAR fans, so I thought I'd post in case you haven't heard.
Jerry Nadeau has been in a serious accident, and is currently in critical condition. It was reported by one of the Richmond papers that he is on life support.
He was coming out of turn one and spun, hitting the wall...driver's side, going close to 150 mph.
No updates until the morning, because his wife was having problems getting to the hospital due to the weather. She was back home at her grandpa's funeral.

Dang!! I'm getting tired of this crap!!
Ya know the SAFER Barrier at Indy? That was designed and tested her in Nebraska. I understand not wanting to do something for the sake of doing something, but we have the technology now. And the whole, It's different for every track can't be THIS dang hard to figure out. C'mon!!

I know it!
How many people do they need to die or get seriously injured before they decide to do anything about it?

Wow! I didn't know he is in that bad of condition. I saw on NASCAR.com the other day that he was injured, but I didn't know it was that bad. I thought maybe he broke something. Wow, this is really sad. :( He's so young![sob]

Okay, my dad was watching ESPN this morning, and they have his vitals stabilized...and that was all they said.

Yes he is! He is just starting a family, too. He has a little girl who's probably not even 3 months old.

Here's a quick update that was on NASCAR.com...
Winston Cup driver Jerry Nadeau, critically injured Friday during a crash during practice at Richmond International Raceway, remains in critical condition at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center and is being treated for head, lung and rib injuries.
Nadeau has been moved to his own room, though still in the intensive care unit.

This is so sad....
The race will be so solemn tonight. I hope Jerry is doing better.
