How did you get started trading? And what's your favorite show you own?

I attended the August 16th John Mayer show in Berkeley, CA last year and loved every second - my only regret was that he didn't play Covered In Rain, which has since become my favorite song & jam of his.

I was amazed to see a week after the show that a recording was available - quickly got into a b&p and have pretty much been hooked ever since.

Probably my most treasured show so far is 12.13.97 Jackopierce - there's an acoustic set to open it up, a second band set and a gorgeous encore.

I can't recall, but I think it started when I *finally* got a burner a few years ago-- i can't recall what my favorite would be but among them definitely is the nickel creek freight & salvage soundboard one, my first creek live show on cd, simply amazing!

on a sidenote to how you mentioned how you were amazed to see mayer's shows up a week after the actual show, i was equally overjoyed during Toad the Wet Sprocket's reunion this year! It was something like the next day or two that the show was up to download for the first few dates on their tour! gotta love those tapers :-D

I got into trading via this boards and had actually never realised you could do it until I started trading on here. I am also, rather hooked and think it's an excellent way of getting stuff by artists that you may never get a decent recording of otherwise.

My favourite show at the moment is one that I recieved only this morning, it's NC, Berkley CA 11-16-00 - a great show! Thanks Melanie! Although, NC and Glen at Joe's Pub NY is a very close second!
