My pics from Normal, Ill. concert

Here are a few pics from the April 24 concert in Normal, Ill. The guy with Sara is my brother Jonathan. Cute, ain't he? :D

I know this is the place to talk about Sean, but I thought y'all wouldn't mind seeing pics of Chris and Sara too... LOL.

I just wish in the pic of Sean there was not such a harsh shadow next to his face, but it was seriously pitch black when I took the pic, so I had to blast the poor fella with my flash!!!

Also, the other pic of Sean, where he is trudging to the tour bus to put his stuff away... for some reason I really love it, even though it is fairly unremarkable.

like the pics? I love them! I like that they are in black and white too. And, I'm not sure why either but I love the one with him carrying all that stuff too. It just makes me think Aw, here let me help you with that Sean.

p.s. I haven't posted in a while cause of school taking up so much of my time now.:( (just in case anyone wondered)

Thanks for the nice comments, everyone else. As to Sean being confused, yeah, he probably was. It took me forever to get him in focus because it was so dark, so he had to stand there a lot longer than he probably expected. :p I was embarrassed, but I don't regret taking the pic.

I personally LOVE black and white pics, particularly of people. I think they help us pay more attention to detail; less distraction from a lot of colors, or something like that. LOL

Now if I could just have taken some B/W pics DURING the concert... RRRRrrrrrrgggghhhhh I am still bitter at the people at Braden Auditorium for that one! [bang]

Yeah, I agree. B&W kicks butt, and that's a great pic all by itself. It's just that Sara's hair, eyes and skin tones are so absolutely gorgeous, I figured asking wouldn't hurt. :D

Black and white photography is awesome. I just don't think that pic of Sean carrying all his stuff would have been the same in color. Man, that would be my wallpaper if I had control over it. Unfortunately, right now it's an Andy Griffith wallpaper, due to my dad's obsession. Otherwise, that pic would be it.

I am not really a professional photographer; I did reporting and photography over almost 6 years working for two small town newspapers in northern Michigan, but when I first started there, I did not even know how to manually load film into a camera. LOL
I was lucky, though, to work with a couple of great people who taught me a whole heck of a lot during that time.
And I learned a ton from PLENTY of mistakes over the years, as well!

I also apprentice with a really awesome photographer doing weddings during the summer (if you want, check out his website www.kachadurian.com, for kicks); some of the pics are mine.

My dream is to document a week in the life of Nickel Creek, travelling with them and relaying life on the road in a story and photos. So if anyone knows someone who knows someone who might just mention the idea to them... (matt, are you listening?) :p
I know it would be awesome, and hey, nothing's impossible, right?

Yes, the Vic Theatre. It was their first time introducing their ownselves and they were joking around. It was all hilarious. I just loved the way he said it! :)

Betsy - Those pics are great! The t-shirt Sean is wearing is the one he had on when I saw them earlier in the year, I quite like it. And I too for some unknown reason like the one of him carrying his stuff, and am a big fan of black and white pics. I much prefer the B&W pics for Sean's latest album to the colour ones.

And thanks for asking Emily about that quote, I was gonna ask that exact same question!

That little concert afterwards was really fun and I am glad I stuck around.
