Hey everyone. Last night I was up watching tv between 12 and 2 in the morning due to a cup of joe that I had previously had. [bigeyes] I was very happy that I did!!! :D On my local Public Television station at 12 they showed the Austin City Limits that had NC perform on it. Afterwards, they had a show called Jubilee, which featured a full concert of NC from Kentucky. It was definitely an older show because Chris's father was playing bass for them, and you could tell the group was younger too. They did a mind blowing set as usual, but a lot of the songs I have never heard before and I was floored by them!!! One of the songs that I can remember was called Leaves Fall or Falling Leaves or something like that. They also You Don't Have to Move That Mountain, which is one of my favorite songs by them. I was wondering if anyone else has seen that concert that I'm talking about, and if those songs are available anywhere. Someone told me in an earlier post that Move that Mountain was on an earlier album called, Here to There or something like that, but I'm confused. I thought they only put out one album??!!![think har Can someone please help me out with this?? Thanks in advance.

Their first album I believe they did when they were very young and had a little different name. It was called Little Cowpoke, I think. Then they self-produced/released Here to There. At the first concert I ever went to of theirs in 2000, they had Here to There for sale, and at that time it was available through their website, but I did not buy it. Then not much longer I guess they sold all of them and they decided not to make anymore. There were a lot of people wanting them to re-release it, but they don't want to. As other people have said, they basically think it sucks. Then they signed with Sugar Hill and their self-titled CD is the only one that has been released so far for them as a group. I hope all of this info is accurate. I believe it is. Sometimes it's hard to keep up with what's been released and what hasn't with the solo recordings, live recordings, older self-produced stuff, etc. They just have an incredible amount of great songs! Just absolutely amazing. I remember when Alisson Krauss said on On the Verge on CMT that when they went to choose the songs for their self-titled CD that they just had tons of stuff to choose from. They're awesome! Sometimes I wonder if there's any song/artist they aren't familiar with.

Does anyone know if they might be puting out a DVD anytime in the future. I know that Alison Krauss is going to be doing a DVD. I think it contains some live concert stuff, but I remember getting an email from the website asking that if anyone had questions to ask AKUS that they would be answered and possibly put onto the new DVD that the group is releasing. That would rock if NC put one out or if they had an extra on the AKUS DVD that included NC!!![noise]

Fortunately, I had a video tape in to catch the ACL rebroadcast and caught the airing of Jubilee as well. Jubilee was apparently taped back in 1998. A very nice contrast to the band as we know them today and very revealing into the awesome talent these guys have. I thoroughly enjoyed Chris and Sean's mandolin duo. That was really cool. And Sara sings and plays so beautifully...I hope she has an opportunity to do a solo project. She's great!
