Just read it...

Sara went swimming. *hehehehe*

That one mic thing woulda been cool to be there for.

I shoulda tried to get that interview w/ Del McCoury (or at least the banjo player) when I had the chance. Oh, well.

I can't believe she mentioned visiting wineries!! that's so cool!! my Uncle owns a winery and I work there sometimes. that would be so cool if next time they were in GA they visited it. I would only hope that I would know so I could be there at the same time. I don't know what I would do if I found out they were actually there and I wasn't!! here's the site for the winery and vineyard: Three Sisters Vineyards (http://www.threesistersvineyards.com/)

As Quoted From Saras new journal The Del McCoury Band (one of the great traditional bluegrass bands) always performs that way - they know how to pull it off *right*.

Del and the boys put on a sweet show. Go see them! When you see them Tell the fiddle player I said Hi. I take lessons from him. Great guy. Moral of the story....... to better understand the creeks musical style go see the Del McCoury band.

I saw the Del McCoury Band a little while ago - I thought it was pretty touching how they played around one mic...really made them seem like a band...however...I had the flu at the time and was on dayquil...so I may have been overly sentimental! ;)

I REALLY loved their mando player!! SO talented...geez man! And their fiddler was great, too...although he seemed a little more shy than rest or something...but very talented!!

Is the fiddle player the one that lives down the street from you? I thought that was the banjo player.

Wow, I must say that was a very well written journal entry. Sara does a great job of describing things. Her description of San Francisco specifically was beautiful. GOod thing she's the only one who regularely updates a journal so we're all priviledged to read her writings :)

Everyone in the band lives about 15 minutes from me. Its the banjo player however that lives down the street from me.

It is great to see the Del McCoury band in concert - the way they weave in and out around the microphone is amazing to watch - almost like a dance. I feel vindicated that other people noticed! (I thought maybe I was just making too much out of it).
