You answered your own question and didn't know it :)

An avatar is a little graphic that goes with your login. You can put a pic or a cartoon or whatever.

To be honest, I've never set one for myself, so not sure how to do it (embarrassing, since I'm the one that's responsible for maintaining the backend technical stuff on the server) , but I suspect that if you go into your user control panel (at the top of the page) there's a procedure there to upload the image.

ok- i am at a friends computer , far away from home... but can help you out!



go to user cp [control panel] and options ther is an upload avator option. select a jpeg or giff on you computer 50x50 pixels or less..... and then it will be up there.
