I was listening to the album in my cd player today and i just couldnt figure what the name of the first song was. So I went to get the cover ( i found out what it was later tho) and i realized that chris had written more than half of the songs on the cd. The first thought that ran through my mind was, Dang, he's a genius! I've heard other people ask in the posts if he had ever messed up on his songs in concert. That boy is awesome! Yes granted that sean has the perfect voice and sara has the most beautiful sound but the quick talent was definatly sent to chris. I guess thats what makes the group so unique! I continue to be dissapointed b/c i still have yet to go to the concert. (which i fully plan on doing once they get back into the states) but to hear people 'try' to describe their sound in concert.... I think its cool how people cant even describe it w/ words and they simply say, You have to just go see them. I can understand mandolin players trying to play like him, but that surely must be a great challenge! I hope everyone has the natural talent and motivation to play as great as the group. I know I'm working on it!

You are very correct...

Playing like Chris Thile is impossible. The only that I can do is attempt to copy what he has already done. I know a few people that get close to playing like Chris, but he has a natural flare for the mandolin...one that surpasses anything and everything else.

Its true...you can't truly appreciate them untill you've seen them live. Well, maybe appreciate isn't the right word. Maybe its's more like adore, worship, be in love with, etc. They're just so fun and (this goes without saying) amazingly talented!

I think that Chris has a better voice than sean. not that I dont love sean to death because I do! but thats just my opinion. God chris realy is a Genius. sara is soo beautiful, sean is a little hottie, but chris, oh my god, hey takes the cake. Hes the reason I got into nickel creek in the frist place, (he just hooked me but they all realed me in!)
