aw Linzee - it would have been fun if were you were! Was a classic rock cover band *but a guy in it is the guy who runs the music store where I take lessons, so I had to check em out!!*
Wierd Matt - doesn't seem like a topic that would be brought up often on message boards...but...we are a strange lil group of people on here!!! :D
Holy Grail is great...meaning of life is awesome too!!
How could we all have died at the saaaaame time?? :p
and I think my fave tv skit would have to be the spanish inquisition :D one of the reasons I loved the movie Sliding Doors :)

I'll kill ya
u'll what?
come on ya pansy!!
oh my gosh!! that movie is continually a crack-up video!! one of my favorite parts was the black knight blocking that bridge and king authur had to fight him, and of course the classic killing bunny, and u can't forget the whole french scence with flying animals over the wall and stinging insults. all in all, it was a strange, poorly acted, hilarious movie that i could see over and over again and keep laughing. whoeva hasn't seen this movie, it's a must cuz it's so funny!!

monty python of the holy grail is definately one of the funniest things i have eva witnessed on a movie, but isn't there suppose to be other movies including monty python? i can't recall n-e right now, cuz honestly the only one i have seen is the holy grail, and that made me laughing right off. is there other movies which are equally or perhaps just as funny? i love a good comedy!! :D

One of my favorite sketches is the Bishop. It was a cross between a cop show from the 70's and the Saint. He gets a call from God to go tp the next case when the top of his crook lights up.

YES Monty Python is awesome! :) I've seen many Flying Circus episodes, although my favorite one I have seen once on BBC and they haven't aired it again...I'm still waiting... Michael Palin is my favorite, but strangely enough the parrot sketch isn't my favorite sketch! :)
My fav. part in the Holy Grail is when God appears to the knights!
Good idea, oh Lord!
OF COURSE IT'S A GOOD IDEA!
I bought the regular DVD of The Grail, and shortly thereafter the special edition one came out. Does anyone know what's on that and if it's worth it?

haha - that part is great! What's the matter - haven't you ever seen the hand of GOD before??!! Rotfl!!!!!!!! :D
dunno about the sp dvd - maaay have to check that out soon myself...sp's are usually worth it I think, but it is annoying when you get one and it has very nearly nothing on it.... of course, that four disc Fellowship of the Ring set has probably seriously spoiled me as far as dvd extras....

the special edition is pretty neat, it tells you all the stuff about the film, like how the same guy died three times in the same scene because they couldn't afford more actors, and how they only used one castle (until the one at the end) and just shot it from different angles.
the whole thing is bloody hilarious, even the weird swedish moose story at the start in the subtitles. and you've gotta love how he summons that entire army at the end and one or two cops stop the lot of them, classic.

Anyone familiar with the Argument Clinic from Flying Circus?
An argument isnt just saying 'yes it is' and 'no it isn't!'
Yes it is!
No it isn't!
I'm sorry, I'm not allowed to argue anymore.
HA! then why are you arguing NOW?
I could be arguing in my spare time.
Too good. Really.

Peasant 1: Who's that there?
Peasant 2: I don't know... Must be a king...
Peasant 1: Why?
Peasant 2: He hasn't got all over him.
Stop! Who approaches the Bridge of Death must answer me these questions three, ere the other side he see.

did you hear about this from theonering.net? because i thought that later on they said it turned out to be just one big, false rumor.
of course, going off my memory, i'm probably just perpetuating more rumors....

Actually I heard about it from imdb.com (internet movie database), but did see on a site later that at least Orlando Bloom being in it was incorrect. Grr. Second time imdb has screwed up casting....hope at least most of the rest of the cast is in tact!! I'll be so excited if they are - SO much talent in it!!
But of course, no matter who'se in it, just being Eric Idle's could mean it's very good!! :D

What is your favorite color?
Blue, no green, ahhhhhhhhhh!
Those who wish to pass the bridge of death must answer me these questions three. What is your name?
I am Aurthur, King of the Britains.
What is your favorite color?
Blue.
What is the airspeed velocity of a swallow?
What do you mean, an African or European swallow?
WHAT!? I don't know that, AHHHHHHH!
How do you know so much about swallows?
You've got to know these things when your a king!
LOL
Absolutely Hilarious

Yeup. That guy has been in alot of stuff. I kinda sorta remember Fawlty Towers. The British show right? If its the one I'm thinking of, it was pretty funny.
BTW, your signature. Does the T.M stand for Toby Mac? I know that quote is in the DC Talk song What if I Stumble. And Toby's in the group. Just curious. :)

I have the Fawlty Towers boxed set... i love the show. It cracks me up. The only quarrel I have with it is that the episodes are all like 45 minutes long... it makes it hard to watch just one and then try to watch something else. I couldn't squeeze them into my Saturday night PBS BritComs scedule very easily!
