New Video?

I was wondering if the Creek are going to put out a new video anytime soon. If so, what's the next single going to be?

The next single is Smoothie Song. At least that's what the e-mail I got yesterday said. A video for that would kick ace!!

I figured Smoothie would be next (considering it was the next single they released to radio). SWEET! You don't get to see/hear very many instrunmental music videos. It will be interesting. But I was actually hoping that it would be Spit on a Stranger, Beauty and the Mess, or Green and Gray.

It'd be so cool if it was on VH1 or CMT!! :) Already being popular on the AAA stations could be a big help on VH1. It'd be cool if a station like Trio or something would add it *or any other vids of their's* to their rotation they have on between shows...

The Ballad of Being Strait was played quite a bit on CMT, and NC's got more name-recognition than Bering did, so maybe it would get played a lil more than that one did. Or maybe the station played it cuz they viewed an instrumental as a novelty...just something different.... :P

arg. i hate the idea of being hipone of the reasons i got into nickel creek is cuz i knew that they aren't really mainstream and popular, sooooooooooooooooooooo.....................ya

hip could be a good term to have placed on them *or this style of music really* though, because it's not really mainstream or popular then, kind of an alternative to that...like REM earlier in thier career or something...something all the underground people that view themselves as above cool are into, which would probably get the band some pretty decent exposure into audiences that would be willing to give this style a listen, and not freak out cuz it's different...or hopefully it would have that impact!!! but it would be annoying if a lot of people who view
themselves as hip got falsely into the band to try and be dif, but your gonna get fans like that no matter what your angle...

I totally understand what you're saying - I haaaate getting into a band because of public opinion on them or thier image - always worry that I'm doing that ... probably a little too much actually!! almost hate to like a cool or popular band sometimes, or at least it's hard to admit when I do....still need to work on that, but I think I'm getting better...

I think it will be really cool if the put out a video for the smoothie song!!!!!!!!!! I love that one!!!! I use to act like a gyspys dancer and do one of those weird dance that looked like they were like a leaf being moved by the wind....................ok that sounded cool in my head......hehe:rolleyes:..




I agree with you two somewhat too. I do not and WILL NOT go crazy for a band just because everyone i know is. But i want Nickel Creek to make more videos, it might bring more true to the bone fans in. :)

this is exactly like on Lizzie McGuire.. when Gordo loves the whole ratpack era and when it gets too popular, he stops liking it juss cuz everyone else does.. i didnt like NC just to be different, I like it cuz .. well, simply: I like it! and it does make me feel weird that they're getting more popular cuz it wont be like their my Nickel Creek anymore.. like i had them all to myself and I loved it and then This Side comes out and a couple more ppl I know like it.. oh well.. i'm a true blue fan no matter what :-P
