Anyone seen this movie yet? I did and I personally thought it sucked. That's my opinion, but i did think it sucked. It was slow, there wasn't hardly any comedic action, and it didn't have much high-tech stuff. What did you think of it? I loved the first one, but the second one was a disappointment.

I took a tour of the Gromains chinese theater in Hollywood the day after that movie premiered there and I got to sit in the same seat that Angalena Jolean sat in the night earlier. Just that yal might like that.

I didn't care for it at all. Now, both movies got horrible reviews, but I was determined to see this second one since I actually enjoyed the first one a lot! While the plot wasn't terribly clever, I didn't think, the action scenes more than made up for it.
That, my friends, is the main problem with Cradle of Life. There is not ONE good action scene. Not one. Just when you think something cool is going to happen...it fizzles. So disappointing. And the subplots were lame. Actually, one of the subplots turned into the main plot, taking over the climax of the film, while the former main plot died. Not that anyone cared.
Also, the shark. Did anyone else gag? Laura Croft is one tough woman, but please. PLEASE. A film may insult my intelligence only so far for the sake of a female Indiana Jones and they went waaaaaaaay past with the whole I'm going to stun a shark three times my size with only my fist which is hampered by water pressure and then catch a ride on its fin to the surface. I'm still reeling from that one.

I really liked it, actually. I think that some of the action sequences were pretty good. No one can tell me that the scene with the Butler and Lara with the big sticks (I can't think of what they are called) wasn't cool.. not to mention the scene when she used what she learned from him in the scene with the ancient clay models. I thought that was AWESOME!
Okay.. I will admit that the point with the weird motion monsters was a little strange. I said to my cousin, Why did this turn all sci-fi all of a sudden?? I also thought that the place where the chest was, the Cradle of Life.. that was a little over the tops, with the walking on the walls and ceiling...
I think that the love story that got mixed in with it was a good plot. I liked it a lot. I felt bad for her, and it made me realize that a woman like that can have feelings... Also, with the whole romance thing.. I WAS SOOOOOO ANGRY THAT THEY DIDN'T USE ALEX WEST AGAIN! grrrr.... He was the best!! They said that he would come back.. and then I see some Scottish dude... grrr... Not to diss the man.. I loved him! :D
All in all, I did like the movie. I prefer the first over the second one, but I would buy the second one for my collection. :D

It had good action sequences, but it there wasn't any comedy at all. It was really boring. The first one had some funny moments ya know?
