I'll just get right to the point. I'd appreciate if anyone that knew all the songs on Here to There to please list them in their correct order with their full titles.

Thanks Very Much! :D

Nickel Creek
Tracks:

Side A:
1. Tracks
2. You Don't Have to Move That Mountain
3. Driving on Empty

Side B:
1. Press On
2. From Now On
3. My Little Girl in Tennessee

If someone has a copy of THAT to trade, please PM me. I'm sure I can find something that you'd like in exchange.

Little Pickers is that a cassett? Cause I have a casset of nickel Creek and they are all kids and Sean is playing mandolin while Chris is on Guitar. There is also a picture of the band standing next to a highway sign that says Nickel Creek. The cassett that I am talking about is not the same one of the pic that you posted.

Jimmie how did you come by all this rare Nickel Creek music since you live in Cleavland? I figured only so cal residance had this stuff.

Jimmie how did you come by all this rare Nickel Creek music since you live in Cleavland? I figured only so cal residance had this stuff. I'm a DJ, and I've been following Chris Thile's career for about a decade now. So I'm pretty well acquainted with his work as both a soloist and a band member.

And I made a mistake above. I referred to their first recording as Little Pickers, when the actual title is Little Cowpoke. Sorry about misleading anyone.

I'm not familiar with the cassette that you have in your collection. Tell us more about it. What songs are on it? Does it list a release date?

The Little Cowpoke recording is NOT particularly rare. Anyone who wants a copy can go out and buy it today.

Here to There, on the other hand, is very difficult to find. There are no new copies being made, so you have to get it from someone who already has it.

And the Nickel Creek cassette that I described above is much rarer than that. It had very narrow distribution and was quite some time ago. So far, I've not succeeded in locating a copy.

Again, if anyone has one and wants to trade, PM me and I'll try to find something that you'd appreciate in trade.

Yes they are rare. What I don't understand is why are all of these early CDs such as Little Cowpoke (which you can buy at cd now) and Thile's early solos are in print but these others aren't. Here and There is actually a great cd (and was naughty and got the songs then burned them; I don't like doing that but I find it hard to believe I'll find a copy at a reasonable price).

Just think how valuable these will be when the 'Creek becomes really popular (which I see in the near future...).

When Nickel Creek decided that they no longer wanted them on the market, they simply stopped selling them. Little Cowpoke, on the other hand, is owned by a record company who would like very much to continue to capitalize on Nickel Creek's success.

And the early Chris Thile albums are Sugar Hill releases, so keeping them in print is a no-brainer. I don't think Chris has any reservations about those recordings anyway.

My theory was that they were self released because my mom asked me that when I told her about Here to There. That stinks that there isn't a way that maybe the Creek can't get some deal with Sugar Hill to republish it. But then again I don't know all the legal things about the music business so I'm probably just rambling on about something that doesn't make any sense.

Here to There has a lot of Christian based songs on it which is cool because any 'Creek fans can have something to sing at church that is 'Creek. (along w/ Hand Song & Reasons Why).

When I talked to Chris last he said he would not mind having Here To There re released.

I don't think anyone would mind if they re released it. I'd sure buy a copy so I could ditch this burned one.

They could've taken that picture here in Oklahoma. Right near Tulsa, too. I don't know how many other creeks with the name 'Nickel Creek' that are out there.
