This may be old news, but I was in Starbucks yesterday and they were playing On Ice. I was so excited I called my friends. Naturally, they didn't care! But not only was it Sean. It was his solo song. Not nickel creek...which is great, but Sean! By himself! Ah, our boy is stikin' out on his own. And doin' well.

ohh that makes me so happy for him! he is so proud of this cd and im glad people are recognizing it!!! I work at a restaurant (italian restaurant) and i put in my sean cd one time and my boss came up 2 me and said what are we listening 2? turn it off!!.... atleast i tried.. but it was in an italian restaurant so we needed more opera stuff :( theres always a next time

[lolol] I don't know why, but that just struck me as hilarious. Anyway, on topic, that's really, really, really cool!!! I think I probably would have screamed and caused the whole place to stare at me. I have AOL, and my parental controls are set to Young Teen and there's this little box that flashes with pictures and links saying stuff like, Win tickets to go to Hollywood to see the premiere of..., Win the new CD from... and on and on and on. Well, one night maybe a couple weeks after 26 Miles came out, I was watching the little box flash and there pops up this one with Sean's picture on it and a little thing saying something like, Check out the new CD from Sean Watkins. I screamed and started jumping up and down. I'm actually surprised I didn't break the computer chair or my foot or something else. My dad thought I was nuts. But it was really really awesome to see Sean get recognition on a 5 second flashing box on AOL. :D

I freaked out when I heard Speak in Starbucks a week or so ago. I controlled myself enogh not to cause a scene though. It's awesome that they are playing On Ice. I wonder if ti will be on the next Hear cd.

They are on a compilation CD now, but I can't remember which one. There's also a Colplay song on there, I think Clocks. I almost bought the CD, but I had only brought in enough money for my Chocoloat Malt Frappacino!! Yummmmmmmmmm!

Not to be reserecting(sp?) an old thread. When I was at Dillards this past weekend they played When You Come Back Down. I was with my friend and she didn't hear it so she naturally thought I was crazy. I was like all jumpy and everything because it isn't everyday you hear Nickel Creek at Dillards!

I shall join your little resurecting attempt with this thread Fiddlincklcrker by sharing that when I saw the Dixie Chicks last year, the music that was playing before they came one was the entire 'This Side' album and I got quite excited because here in England I hardly ever hear NC or any solo work by them anywhere. My aunt thought I was crazy when I got all excited and turned to her said 'oh my gosh it's Nickel Creek, they're actually playing Nickel Creek!!!'

I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets excited when they hear artists they like in unusual places...
