Floydfest 2003

Here are some pictures from Floydfest 2003 in Floyd County, Virginia. My dad let my friend and I go for my birthday and let me say Nickel Creek ROCKS!! What talented performers!

After the show my friend and I got to meet Chris and Sean. It really sucked b/c we didn't get to meet Sara:(

Anyways, Chris came right over and started to talk to us. What a funny, intelligent guy! I told him I liked his hair a lot and he let me touch it:D I am actually a really big Sean fan and I was so excited to meet him. The only thing is he doesn't talk much. The only things he said to me were, Sure, i'll take a picture with you. and I like your southern accent. I don't remember what Sean and I were talking about but out of the blue I went You're nothin' but a big ol' goober! He gave me a really funny look and I think I turned tomato red[splat] ! But Chris laughed and started to mimic my accent, saying Sean is a big ol' goober ain't he?! it made me feel better. I think Chris is funner but thats only b/c he talks. Meeting Sean and he giving me that look was FAR from disappointing!

I really hope to see Nickel Creek at Virginia Tech and this time meet Sara. Also, I want to call Sean a goober again and laugh with Chris. hehe

Well I don't have anymore of Sara BUT I do recall seeing her have this choker necklace thingy. I remember my friend telling me she liked Sara's necklace and she wondered where she had gotten it. Well we never got to see Sara so I don't know....

Okay...Do you remember this: It was an oval blue/green/mother-of-pearl/shell pendant on black cording...I got it in Richmond, VA the day before their July 1st concert in a small jewelry shop...And I gave it to Sara on August 16...

Yeah, it was a pretty shell choker thingy. But I couldn't really tell if it was green b/c as you can see from the pictures I wasn't very close to her.

And don't worry, Sean didn't say anything to me except, Hi, and Oh, here's your pen! and maybe a Yeah or two. But then again, I said nothing but Hi, you guys were awesome! and Thanks! to him, so... Two shy people don't mix very well. Anywho, awesome pics!! I really wanted to go to Floydfest, but once my mom found out that tickets were like $55 or something like that, then that was out.

Nah, I live nowhere near Floyd. I was just desperate to go to my 3rd NC concert of the year. :D I'm also trying to convince my family to take me out of school to go to N. Carolina in September and then we can go to the beach on Hatteras Island again to bodyboard. My dad keeps saying he wants to take me out of school to go to the beach so we can bodyboard, so I worked out a way to fit Nickel Creek in. :cool:
