What did you think of the All Star Bluegrass Celebration II? I did not get the chance to see it yet. But I am sure it will air again. How did Nickel Creek do? What song did they play?

IT IS THE BEST THING EVER!!!! I AM SURE THAT IT WOULD BE EVEN BETTER LIVE BUT I HAVEN'T GOT TO EXPERIANCE THAT YET THOUGH. IT IS SUPPOSE TO BE ON A LOT THIS MONTH. SEPT. 6 THEY ARE GOING TO BE ON PBS!!!!!!!!!!

It was REALLY great!! They only played one song - Smoothie Song. Had an insane amount of energy - as soon as Chris started on his solo *which was completely amazing btw - just the way he got into it* the crowd really started freaking out. Very cool. :D and Sean's solo was absolutely perfect...definately try to catch it if you can!!!! [noise]

I agree that the All Star show was very good. I recorded it and I watch it ALL the time. The first half of the show was awesome! I got kinda bored through the second half. The energy that NC had was incredible. The crowd pretty much freaked out with applause when they were finished. It was really neat. I thought it was cool because with them playing Soothie Song, that really made them sound different which was so cool! I thought it was good to see that you can be so good and not have to be strictly bluegrass for people to like your music. Other than NC playing, I loved the Orange Blossom Special. I never have really enjoyed playing that song, but I would have given my eye teeth to play it on that stage with Sara, Staurt, Vassaar, Andy, Alison, and SOOOOO many others. It was great. I am so glad to have it on tape. I think that is a once in a lifetime deal to see that many fiddlers play together like that. Ok...... now I am in the mood to go watch it again! :) [noise]
