Because I'd be more than willing to give you one of mine in exchange for a copy of Here to There. I really, really, really would love to hear it (obviously). Anyone...maybe...have one?

Watch for it on eBay...sometimes older recordings go up for sale there.

What[eek!!] !!! Is this a good thing? Just today I made connections with 2 people I went to school with in Anaheim through the classmates website that I haven't talked to in about 24 years!! Been a long time since I've been to OC. Does this mean you won't need that kidney from michelleanne? :p

BART!! Okay, here is my question: since the band has officially removed the album from the market, would it be wrong of me to ask you to burn and send me a copy (in exchange for shipping handling, the cd, trouble costs)? And, if you don't consider it wrong, would you...maybe...be willing to do so? I'm a tremendous goober, I realize this.

...what you say?[noise]

yes, still not ok.

copyrights still in effect for a while.. mabye once the cd becomes old enough for public domain consideration...

Would you be kind enough to post the list of tracks for Here to There? Since we can't get it and share it I'd at least like to know what songs I'm missing.

you need written permission from their managment to do any sort of cd copying and distribution.. they didn't pull here to there out of the market so people would free burn on it.. they really dont' want copies of it around... so please don't break the law, and disrespect the wishies or property of nickel creek at the same time...

if posts blatently go against copyright or trading policy, we pull them off. general forum folicy.. you probably haven't seen the number of trading posts that have been removed, just because i sometimes get to them. given the nature of support this forum recieves from the band and their managment [see posts on finantial and other stuff in previous forums], it is very crucial that copyright be honored at least on this forum..
in all honesty you do what you do and choose which you choose, but hopefully you see the respect there is for the band when we honor their policies, and protect the value in their work. [when a policy is in doubt there is a reason they have a manager to write them down for people like us- that way the 20 versions of word of mouth don't have any gound to spawn on.. revert to written down policy untill it changes.. or the default the copyright laws],
also keep in mind word of mouth from the artists is [as busy as they are, and the fact it is not their job to keep straight what has been decided, etc.] no matter how much it may seem you know the full case.. usually you don't... it is not enough to nullify a written policy.

in the case of HTT, if they are going to ever re release it [[which woudl be really sweet, although people liek the guy who bought it for $300 on ebay, will see a decrease in value of theirs]] , then the same copyright holds true.. it needs to be treated as a cd that is up on the good market.

anywho, lets get back to brasstacks no hard feelings on this side.
