n.c. opened with this song in pitts. on 10/18. where did it come from? is it their song? also loved complain.. is that an original or did they borrow it? again, an awesome concert. who is their bass player? lots of soul and personality.

At the New Song Festival in WV Chris said that he wrote it on night in Minneapolis, MN after closing time at a bar.

Reading that reminded me of the song Closing Time by the Minneapolis band Semisonic, and the lead singer Dan Wilson performed with Nickel Creek at Largo in April. Cool my little six-degrees of separation. :)

Dan Wilson performed with NC?? That's pretty cool, love the variety of musicians into NC! A radio station where I used to live played Closing Time a lot, so now, it shall probably be in my head for a few days. every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end... - golly it's catchy hee hee

heard it last night! it was great!! was it just me or did this song have a little bit in it about a certain 3 letter word ending in X? :o
i really really liked the song a lot no matter what its about!
