new user

I'm a new user and noticed most of the users who post seem to be young. I'm not. I'm 54 and am a big fan of Nickel Creek and many of the other artists mentioned on the boards. I enjoy the enthusiasm of all of the others who post, but hope there are some other oldies posting here.

Yeah, most of the youngin's here are just that, but there's some of us ol' skool peeps still here. I'm 29 and met my finace here. The wedding's Feb. 28th. That's not relavant to anything you said. I just felt like saying it. :D

Yeah, I thought about changing my name to Granny, at 44 I'm one of the oldies myself...but the kiddos here are real tolerant of us...I've even had some PM me for advice (age=wisdom you know;) ). I love that most are so open to a variety of music, literature, art, etc. I think that makes for a much more balanced human being. Anyway, glad you're here....make yourself at home and hope to see you more often!!

Now there's my little teacher's pet;) Where did you guys say you were registered for your wedding???? Flattery gets you no-where??? Heck no!! Flattery gets you goodies:D Heehee!! Ok then, I'm a very young 44. When I turned 40 my hubby went on our local radio station and told the whole town I was $39.95 and holding:-)) Silly man!!

Welcome to the board! I think I just crossed the no longer a kiddo line [lolol] I'm 30. But in a 30 going on 12 kinda way hehehe. The Creek definately has a very broad age range fan base, it's part of what makes them so unique... it takes a pretty special band to appeal to someone who's 65, 6, 13, 26... whatever LOL.

Though I think that most of the active posters on this board are younger, I suspect that has more to do with time spent online (you know, that whole life before marriage, kids, mortgage, bills, career thing)
