some who DO wander ARE lost. i just got back from the Searcy (harding U.) concert. it was terrific. probably going to be my last one of the year.

but i..............cannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnt complain.........i've had the fortune of seeing 5 shows this year and i've loved each one of them. havent had a chance to meet any of the group personally yet. i wish i could fly up to buffal for my bday and see them there. that would be cool.

did anyone here go to the Searcy show?
thoughts?

I was there and I have to say it was incredible! I was really hoping to actually get to meet them this time, but they went somewhere in Searcy to hang out afterwards, and told everybody hanging around where to go, but not being from Searcy I had no idea where it was. So, alas, I had to come home once again without my dream coming true. [sob]

As far as the songs they played, I finally heard the new sequel to The Lighthouse's Tale, and to be honest, it was just a little creepy (and not in a bad way). The different, possibly minor key they played it in was very......strange after listening to the original over and over and over and over and.....It was still cool though, it was just very haunting, even more so than the original.

But still, my favorite to hear live is Tom Bomb. I almost came up outta my seat when they tore into that one!

My only complaint is this (and I know NC has no control over this, so it's not aimed at them):

Why oh why oh WHY do people pay to get a ticket close to the stage if they don't really care for the group performing? We were on the 8th row, and we had college kids both in front and behind us who thought the concert was a wonderful opportunity to get caught up on their gossip and joke telling. It was apparent that they were only there for the bonus points that were going to be awarded in some class or other, but if that's the case, why didn't they ask for tickets somewhere way in the back?!?!?! [bang]

I guess that's one of the dangers of going to see a show at a college, but when I saw them at another Arkansas college last year, it was a totally different scenario. Everyone there was obviously there to enjoy NC, because when they were playing, every person there was totally enthralled with the music.

I've been to 2 NC concerts and at both there was drinking, eating, cellphones, talking and people leaving then coming back, leaving then coming back NO LIE. I'm seeing them again this Wed. and I hope it won't be like that but I won't hold my breath  I find it rude to both NC and the audience!!

i noticed the same thing too. i was in the middle section row DD. and the kids behind me kept saying sighh..this is making me sleepy..wake me up when it's over...etc. made me disgusted.

so they told people where they were going to hang out!?!?! awww shucks! i wish i coulda found that place.!!!! i got back to memphis around 12:30 and passed out.

the lighthouse's part 2 seemed lil more morbid...lol but i loved it! and all the jokes about the microphone of secrecy and jokes about fiddlers and bass players was hilarious!

lastly, ive heard a few crowds sing along with Sara on be thou my vision before but last night's crowd was the most touching it almost seemed to get a very impressed look from Sara.

That's awful about the kids talking during the show.... so rude... I would have said something to them, heheh.... I saw Sean and Sara perform at a coffee house at USD, and the crowd was awesome.... maybe 'cause it's their hometown? I dunno.... Regardless, it was great... :D
