Hey, It's getting closer to the 12/13 show! I can't wait:D I've had ITC for a couple of months now, and I love it it! I am so excited to see them play live. Anyone else from here going to this show? I've been to a couple of NC shows, but never Chris and Mike. Does anyone know what I should expect? Like how long, do they play mostly stuff from their cd? Do they do a meet and greet after? Any info would be helpful and greatly appreciated. :)
[run] goes to check the calendar...is it 12/13 yet??

I wish I could go. However, I'm picking up my sister at the airport in Manchester, NH and taking her home to Maine that evening. Can't do both. Maybe next time they come around.

I think you said in an earlier thread that you were trying to get a friend to come along. Were you successfull? I hope so, this thread is lonely enough, than to add going to a concert alone. I think that regardless, you won't care once its started and talent starts to fill the air. Have fun!

Awesome Awesome show!!! Too tired right now to say everything that happened, but it was absolutely amazing. Anyone whose ever said that you should go see these two was right! Great night. I'll be sure to post more about it when I'm not quite so tired. :D

Ok.......It's been a busy few days since my I went to the concert so this is the first chance I've had to write down everything that happened. Ok, well...my friend I live about 1 1/2 hours away from Barre, and decided to hang out in Burlington and do some shopping for the day, then drive the 45 mins to Barre. Well, we got done shopping early so we decided to drive to the opera house and just wait there. We got there around 5:30. And no one was there, but the doors to the lobby were open so we went in and then through the doors....I heard some music and realized it was Chris and Mike warming up!!! I figured that they must be in the theatre, and we werent about to just walk in so we just wandered around. We weren't bothered at all because no one was around. We went through some doorways, then i saw some stairs and a sign that said balcony, feeling brave i decided to go up the stairs...the music was getting louder then...i reached the top of the stairs and an open entry way to the balcony was right in front of me. I looked down and saw Chris and Mike down on the stage!!! It was soo cool. I saw some guy walking around and I figured I'd better ask if it was ok that we were there and he said that he was just the lighting guy, but as long just chilled out where we were and didnt cool about it that he didn't see anything wrong with it. So we did!! It was the coolest thing. I was so excited to be there. About 20 mins later we decided we better head down to the lobby. We came down and there was a velvet rope up now and a lady asked told us that we had to come over the other side of the rope...lol, oops. Then we waited around till the doors opened. Got front row, very cool. Then they started. It was an incredible show!! Not that I didn't expect that, but I hadnt been to a Mike and Chris show before so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. They played some of the stuff from Into the Cauldron. And and a few new ones. As Chris explained, they were going to play some really old stuff, some sorta old stuff, and some brand spanking new stuff. Later designated as 1, 2, and 3...lol. They also played Gator Strutt which I liked a lot, a new song that he described as a 50's love song, the Jesse meets a Sea Urchin song, and a song in Gm. Everything was great! They joked about how cold it was there, and that he was from San Diego and wasnt use to temperatures this low. And that he couldnt understand how it could be below zero outside. That zero is the lowest number, how can the temperature be less than nothing!?! Then he and Mike were saying how they should turn it into an event on espn on. And have a hot chocolate company as there sponser. It was pretty funny.
So then the show ended :( But they came out after and I got to talk to chris :) He signed my ITC cd and I told how i was so happy that they played What a Blast because i love that song. And then he was talking about his new song that was in Gm and asked if i had read East of Eden by Steinbach and I said I handnt. But there was a lady behind me that had so he was telling us how the character Kathy from that reminded him of that song. And said that i should read it because its a great book. And we also chatted about the differences in audiences and venues. It was so cool to actually talk to him, last time i met him I didnt really say anything just had him sign my cd. Definitly glad i actually said something this time. Unfortunately by the time I was done talking to Chris, Mike had disappeared so i didnt get to talk to him. Oh well, Next time! Great Show, if they're coming near you go!!!
I took some pictures I'll post them after I get them developed.
Take care,
