Warning: there's no real content in this post, I just need to vent.
I won't be going to see Chris and Mike Marshall at the Egg tonight because of this dumb snow storm! I've been looking forward to this show since July and the day finally arrives and I'm stuck in Binghamton! They won't be playing anywhere even remotly close to here again, so I guess this was probably a once-in-a-lifetime oppourtunity that was just ruined by the weather. I'm not happy.
If anybody here manages to get to the show, please lie and tell me it was horrible.

I'm sorry Ken. :( I'd be going nuts if I were you...*sigh* Reason for everything though - but it's got to be a bummer...
hey, maybe it's not a once-in-a-lifetime thing, but more of a once-in-this-tour kind of thing....in another year or two, maybe they'll be back up there again??? *crosses fingers*

My parents aren't going to take me to the Ashland of Covington concert because weather is threatening snow. But I'll at least get the webcast thing (hopefully).

I was in the same predicament as you over the summer... the Dixie Chicks (one of my favorite bands) were in town like 20 minutes away from my house for 2 nights in a row, and I couldn't go either night because I was out of town and I couldn't get home 'cause my dang car broke down. Ger. BUT, later on in the summer I was on a family vacation in Little Rock of all places, and we rolled into town at 8:30 that night only to discover that the Chicks were playing a concert half a mile down the road. I grabbed my sister, ran down there, and we got 11th row tickets from the box office. So hang in there, ya never know what will happen! :D

So, was it canceled? I mean, what's the big deal about snow? Where do you live? How many inches/feet are on the ground?

well speaking for banjo_ken, I live in NY and happened to be driving home from college sunday night in this storm. A trip that normally takes 3 1/2 hours took about 4hrs and 45mins driving at about 30mph NOT FUN!!! It was awful weather. My area ended up with almost 2 feet of snow. I'm from northern ny so we're definitly use to major amounts of snow. This was not a little snow fall. So I feel for ya banjo_ken. Winter in NY is not very nice sometimes. Especially when it interferes with seeing Chris and Mike.
Take care and drive safe!! :)
