Chris/Mike in Kent, OH 12/16

Anyone get to go to the show at the Kent Stage? (NC performed there last month). Chris and Mike were AMAZING. They had so much energy! With only a short break, they played quite a lengthy, intricate show. Not only was the music great, but I thought they were really cool with the crowd, too. Quite a breathtaking show :)

Yep...I was there with my sis. The show was very amazing. Those two are wonderful together and very funny too. I was laughing throughout. Intricate is a fantastic way to describe it. There were parts where I was shocked that it was just hem playing, and all of Chris's material is soooo intense, even the song about Jessi and the sea urchin Great show!!

yea i was there and they played great, and quite a bit longer than i thought they would. Although Chris Thile was giving me dirty looks because the person a row ahead of me was taking pictures, and he didnt know who was taking them-

LOL Yeah I was the one he came upto in the middle of the show and he asked for me to stop taking pictures because the sound was distracting. Though I don't think it was my camera there were people on the sides taking pictures too. And jodinctv and linzee_nc were behind us and took a pic and realized their camera was kinda loud lol (Jodi, Linz I'll be getting those live shows to you soon promise!). I'm the one Mike was talking about when he said this person in the front row is looking at her watch we better shut up LOL. I don't think Chris was mad about the camera thing because afterwards he was all Hi Sarah how ya doing!? I told him he did an awesome job and he laughed and said It was quite an eventful evening now wasn't it? We got to talk a little about LOTR then we had to go so I didn't get to talk to Mike.

Wanted to add that I was surprised Mike said something about me looking at my watch but not the lady sitting next to me that slept through the concert the whole time LOL!!! Did anyone notice the guy who introduced them said Chris' last name wrong?

Aw, Sarah, I had hoped you didn't take Chris's requests too much to heart. I'm glad to hear you got to talk to him afterward! He's so nice, I knew he wasn't trying to be mean. And yes, I too noticed the guy pronounced THILE wrong... whatcha gonna do...

I actually found it kind of funny (not that I was distracting him but the fact they kept bringingit up and joking about it through the entire show). I knew he wasn't trying to be mean. I took tons of pics when Nickel Creek was there last month but I figured they didn't hear anything since they had inear monitors, the place had a lot of people, the music was louder, etc. I was surprised to see the place was only 1/2 full I was expecting it to be sold out.

There was definitely a smaller crowd than when NC was there, but it just made it all the more intimate... It was a nice crowd I thought.

I was just at the Covington show and they had added a no picture taking rule. I figured that was because of us. The covington concert was actually pretty crowded.
