Orlando Show!!!

For all of the Flroida fans, there is a show on March 22, at Orlando House of Blues. It is a Monday night. And just so you all know, the House of Blues Shows are the best!!!! *dances happily* We should all meet beforehand. 37 days in counting...:D

maaaaaan why is NC going to FL BEFORE I get there for the summer? LOL just watch, they'll play Seattle when I'm in FL or have moved...it's just to spite me, I swear! lol

I hope y'all have fun! Might I suggest a fun meeting place - Bongo's Cuban Cafe - it's in Disney World --- good food, fun atmosphere :)

Yippie! Oh it will be a great vacation for you (plus the weather will be nice). I was wearing my NC shirt today and a guy stopped me and said that he might be going to the concert, so there may be another person from Gainesville going. Woohoo...two weeks.

Just so you guys know, the HOB is extremely strict with their no camera policy. If you don't want to make the long walk back to your car before the concert, they make you pay to get the camera checked.

Yes, I'll second that. I remember...you can either take it back to your car or give to a staff member who will put it in a box then you have to pay 2 bucks to get it back. Easy way for them to make a buck, lol.

Anyway, I'm reporting that there are 2 more people going from gainesville heading to orlando.....hey Linzee, we're dominating the front row again!

Yeah, the camera policy is bad. I recommend leaving your camera in the car beacuse last time the guy who was checking them was so painfully slow that I wanted to gouge my own eyes out. Anyways, Bela would be cool, but my parents are coming into town that day. Ah how bitter-sweet...no Bela, but parents taking me to Sam's to buy bulk cereal...mmmm...20lb box of Cheerios.

Well, another great concert. HOB crowds are the best. They played a lot of new stuff. I especially liked the Doubting Thomas song. They also did older material that I had never seen live like Out of the Woods which was wonderful. Their set lasted about two and a half hours, then they went outside and played. Chris ended up playing for another hour until the bus actually left him and Sean behind (but they did Warmth of the Sun) *sighs happily*. Sean got locked out of a gate and had to walk the long way to the bus. Woohoo, can't wait til the next one.

I'll second that. Wasn't Doubting Thomas the one where Chris and Sean both played acoustics and they were harmonizing with them?
Great concert. Yeah after the show, that hour was nice. Small crowd so they were either playing requests or Chris and Sean were battling it out back and forth.
The crowd was awesome. I remember it being like that last time. The stage was higher, that was new. Didn't like it as much.
All in all, the new album's going to be awesome.

Upon someone asking Chris when the album was going to come out, Chris' reply was Yeah, thats a good question

Sara vanished not long after they came out after the show. She was able to play a couple of songs. Either Fielding wouldn't let her out or she was with some of her friends that I knew were there from her hometown.

Yeah, poor Sean. I remember walking right by a security guy for the HOB on my way out and I mentioned, uh, can someone unlock the gate? Meanwhile, Sean's over there shaking the gate trying to get out. Reminded me of Pirates of the Caribbean when Johnny Depp (Jack Sparrow) was trying to get out of the Blacksmith house.

Oh and Florida fans, they stated that they would be back again somewhere/sometime in the fall.

I so wish I had been there for that! *sighs happily but jealously ;) * hehe, too funny the bus left Chris and Sean behind - last time they just threatened to run them (and us!) over! Mmm - I bet Out of the Woods was great live; those harmonies *sighs again*

Laura - too cool! Glad you had fun! The stage being higher would be a bit of a bummer; it's too much fun to learn on the stage and use it as a make-shift drum :D Chris and Sean battling it out would have been tres cool to hear...

GAH!! I dont' have the right version of Real Player on my computer to listen to the Sessions@AOL, but I *always* listen to it at my grampa's house on AOL.. I seriously would, die if I heard that song acoustic. O.M.G. You have no idea... I heard the Beach Boys' version one time in Giant Eagle and I just about fell over....

ahhh i didnt get to see the stuff outside after the concert....:( my sisters and mom wanted to go because it was freezing! i waited in line for about an hour and i was freezing my but off.... im so mad we had to leave. that i think was the best concert.... their new stuff is soooooooooo good, i loevd scotch and chocolate!!! soo good... i would have died to listen to warmth of the sun!!!! but i did get good seats! 3 row standing up on seans side. i got their new tour shirt! it is so cool its like just a regular line ad its like the outline of them. man im so p.oed now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ok now im gonna cry... lol well that happened last time at newport so im used it:( wellllll i gotta go cuz im on the internet at the hotel

I thought it was a great concert...my first Nickel Creek concert! But I was really disappointed that they didn't play This Side. What was the deal with that? And also, I was in the back, so when they unplugged for the last set I couldn't hear anything. Is that something that they usually do?

Yep, usually the band tells the audience to scoot up close to the stage so they can play acoustic. I'm sorry you didn't get to hear it.
They probably didn't play This Side because they had a whole bunch of newer material to play. :)
