Any possibility of a pre-sale for the Avalon show?

As stated on that venue key thing on the schedule page...GA/PS meants General Admission/Partial Seating -- like the Paramount Theater in Seattle, for example, the floor is general admission, but the rest of the place is assigned seating

Thanks so much. I was just so surprised to learn of two L.A. concerts in as many days. The Hollywood Bowl I gather they will open for the L.A. Phil.... Hope they will play with them as well.
Don't know the Avalon Theater. Unfortunately I've got a nephew graduating from Marine Boot camp on 4/9 (Good Friday) down San Diego way. Could be tricky... I can hardly believe they are playing on Good Friday.
I'm very happy about it though. MUST... SEE....NICkEL CREEK!!!! :D

I read somewhere that for the September concerts they will in fact be performing with the LA philharmonic. :D I've seen Nickel Creek twice, and I've seen the LA Philharmonic once, and both were amazing, but VERY different, concerts. I cannot wait to see how they are combined. I just might cry. :D

The L.A. Phil was one of my first musical loves. I had season tickets when I was in college. I played viola - very badly.
Nickel Creek and the L.A. Phil at the Hollywood Bowl sounds absolutely like Heaven. Can hardly wait.
And hopefully I can get to see them at Avalon. The only time I saw all three was at the Wiltern last September. I've been to two Largo shows.
I envy those who were at that surprise NCconcert at Largo.

So you're the lucky gal who caught all three at Largo recently!! I am most envious. I loved your pictures. Thanks for sharing all that. Next best thing to being there was reading all the wonderful details and seeing the pics.
Yes. that Wiltern show had my sister and myself looking agog at each other. We were just amazed and thrilled. They were all I'd come to expect from reading about their concerts on this board and more.
I'm the one who dropped a lot of money at Largo the last time I was there. It was about a month ago. The photo Sean posted with his journal entry was taken by his father right next to us as we sat across from The Watkins family' family. :D He wrote such a glowing report of that evening and yet he seemed sullen to me. I guess that's just him. He seems like one shy guy. My heart really goes out to him. What a change of pace the Hollywood Bowl will be. [bigeyes]
I was also at Largo last summer before the Wiltern Show and had an unexpected chat with Sara in the Ladies/dressing room. She is just soooo cute! I'm a chick and I think she's beautiful. As are Chris and Sean. I love them all, but Chris is the man!!!
Do you know the Avalon theater? I've never heard of it. I come up from Costa Mesa and hope to get tickets when I find out if I'm free to go. I may miss that one due to my nephew graduating from boot camp. Bad timing.

Yep, that was me, the lucky one. :D Glad you liked my story and pix, but I'm sorry you missed the show! :(
The Wiltern show was my first time seeing them live, and I was blown away. All the previous concerts I'd been to involved 20,000+ people screaming in an arena.... so this was a whole new world to me!
I remember that show where Sean's dad took the picture... wasn't it great how Sean just walked out into the audience like no big deal and asked his parents if they'd take some pictures? Cracked me up, heh. You're right, he does seem like the shy one on stage. Although he's always super nice and friendly whenever I go to talk to him after the concerts. I'm shy myself, so I can understand how it feels, hehe...

Gonna have to agree with ya there! hehe... what a fun story! I wish I'd discovered Largo sooner! My first time there was in November of '03.
I've never heard of the Avalon theater, but by the looks of it on the website, it appears to be similar to the Wiltern. So that should be a good thing! If you're not able to go to that one, are you gonna consider making the drive down to San Diego for the show the night before? I bought tickets to that one last night. It's a two hour drive and I really can't afford the tickets, but darn it, they're worth every penny and I'M GOING! hehe ;)
