When will Nickel Creek ever be in Arkansas? I keep missing them when they are.. :( I checked the schedule but I didnt see them coming anywhere near here.. Am I missing something? Please reply.

Don't worry about it yet. :) NC tends to add dates to a tour a lot...so even though nothing's up now, could be soon - just keep an eye and an ear out for it :)

No possibility of traveling to one of the nearby states to see them (e.g., MO, TN or MS)? I understand your concern though…I also check the schedule page regularly, and keep hoping to see tour dates in the upper Midwest--trying as hard as possible to be patient…

Kayla, I saw them in April 2002 at Reynolds hall in Conway (The Arkansas Acoustic Festival)! Awesome! Again at Riverfest last summer (2002), and last at Harding College in Searcy last November 7th (Awesome again)! But yeah, if they came every week I'd go see them! What I'd really like is to see Chris Thile and friends somewhere around the state! Edgar Meyer, Bela, Jerry Douglas, Stuart Duncan.


The first time I saw them, Chris Jones played bass for the show. He did a solo that absolutely blew me away! I had a friend recently argue with me about who the best bass player in the world is ( he thinks it's the dude from Primus, I argued Geddy Lee), but if he had seen Chris Jones' performance that night he would shut up about some heavy-metal piddler![evil eye]

I'm going to try to make it to the Memphis show. Maybe on the next big NC tour, they'll be back south (MS, Arkansas, etc.). They were nearby for several shows over the last couple of years, I was just always too busy to see em.

When I read your post, I almost soiled myself! I am Sooooooo excited about these shows! Heck, I may go to Memphis AND Conway! Conway, for sure!:D
