Hey everyone! I'm a newbie to the site and well.. to Nickel Creek as well. I just recently started listening to them and I'm hooked. I'm going to be attending a concert soon which is general admission. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how early I should arrive to get near to the stage, maybe even front row? If you have any other tips (how to meet the band, etc) I'd really be thankful. This is my first NC concert and I want it to be memorable, especially since I'm taking a friend (who loves NC!) for their birthday. Thanks again!!

33 people and no help? :( I know that this question has probably been asked a lot, but I tried searching and I can't really find any answers. This is my first concert, and my friend's 21st birthday and I just want it to be special for her cause she is my best friend. Any tips to getting a good seat or any other pointers about enjoying a NC concert would be really appreciated! Thanks again!
P.S.
I hope I didn't come off sounding grumpy... just trying to make this concert experience memorable for my best friend.:)

try the General Discussion thread about Mutual Admiration Society (MAS, i forget which one is in the title) its sorta deviated off topic to people's opinions on how early to get to a concert.
though most agree it depends on your area and how much NC support you have in that area... and the venue.

i saw a show last friday for the first time. i got there a half hour or so before the doors opened, and there were like over 100 people in line (to get in, and they had tix) and there were some in line to just buy tix, and in another line to pick up tix.
all in all, get there at least an hour before (if not sooner) so that you can be as close as you can.
Bests,
Bobby

I posted a reply here, dunno what happened to it. I said it depends on the venue, venue size, and who's playing. I've been front row at all my concerts and have arrived early anywhere from 2-5 hrs. The 5 hrs. was for Evanescence though.

Be sure to find the bus after the concert. They have been doing what Chris calls the playing out by the bus tour. They usually play by the bus for about 30-45 minutes and then hang out for a bit. Have a great time. It is awesome!!!

Hi, welcome, I'm new too. I went to the Eugene concert on the 14th in Oregon and they were awsome! I highly recommend a Nickel Creek concert. To get up close run!!!! You have to beat everyone else to the front if you really want it...unless you are like one of the first 20 people in line...depending on how long the stage is. I was hugging the stage and they all played right over my head! It's an awsome experience and it can't be beat. Also, if you want to meet them I recommend waiting until after the concert and then finding the back of the building where their vehicles are and usually thay are able to sign. They did for me and some other fans anyways. They are very nice people, just be really respectable and give them their space, like you would want if you were in their position. It wouldn't hurt to pray that the show and the night in general goes well...I did and for me it was all over excellent! Front row, meeting them, pictures with them!....It's great they are great! I love Nickel Creek!!! God Bless!
