new cd out this summer?
do they know something we don't?
i was at that show last night by the way. it was pretty good--first time i've seen them in a huge center like that (from the balcony too :() instead of a bar-type venue, but i still enjoyed it. although i was rather ticked at the whole deal of USC students getting two extra weeks to get their tix before the general public, and paying one eleventh of what we all had to pay, too. Well, besides the GP album, I can't really tell what they're talking about...
Their new CD — from which they performed several songs — is due out mid-summer.
How could they have played the songs of their new album if they're collaborating with Glen? Was he there? They didn't mention him if he was...

Well...if they did Trouble, that kind of counts as doing a song off the album...haha...but yeah maybe they just got some of their facts mixed up...it happens. ;)

and “When You Come Back Down,” with Thile sounding more than a little like John Mayer (hey, that oughta just bust into “Your Body Is a Wonderland”).
What does that mean? Did Chris have a raspy voice? O_o .. me curious!

hmmm...john mayer never crossed my mind at all...
(anyone who hasn't seen them recently, they've changed WYCBD and added a new, interesting little musical phrase to it that i just love. it gives the song almost a carefree, happy feel i think. which doesn't match the lyrics that much, but hey we know they are into that, right? :))

Yeah...the bridge has a bouncy feeling to it...you're right, it is a carefree sort of feeling...I like it. Change is good, even though originals are almost always better...But in my opinion, not in this case. I like this new version better. They put a little twist on it, so it sounds like it's in a new time sig, and probably key too.
Good song...[noise]
