I was searching online today looking to see if there were any recent pics of the MAS tour around and stuff like that and came across this:

http://rmfo-pics.net/slideshow.php?set_albumName=CJ_NC

I was enjoying the slide show of really good pics that the site shows you and then when I looked down the bottom, I realised that the photos belonged to our very own DixieMedley. I really hope that she doesn't mind that I've posted a link to it, I just thought they were really good and you guys might like to look at them. I ran a search to see if the link had been posted before but it didn't come up with anything.

It made me laugh to see that in one of the pics of them playing on the pavement, there are two people holding out mobile phones, I would assume so that friends could listen. I've done that before and always get funny looks for it, but it seems I'm not the only one to do it!

Yeah ... whoever to those pictures really must have liked Sara. Because almost all of them have her in it! There isn't anything wrong with that though!

Sara is so pretty.. I would imagine that it would be a difficult task to not take pictures of her all the time... :D But then again.. they are all very pretty...

I don't know when they were taken. I thought Dixie Medley might be around to shed soome light on the situation, but no sign of her yet...

DixieMedley... are you out there???

I agree that Sara is very pretty. When people get asked if they had to look like somone famous who would they choose, they always say people like Jennifer Aniston or Cameron Diaz etc. And there's nothing wrong with them, they are very attractive. But me and a friend of mine were discussing it the other day and I think I might choose to look like Sara. She's really pretty but not in a stereotypical way and she's not pretty because she has somoene to choose her clothes for her and cover her in make-up everyday, she's just naturally beautiful!

And she has great taste in clothes, so why would she need somoene to pick them for her? I would reeeeeeeally love to have one of those skirts with the goose on it that she has, it's really cute.

Yeah, and I'm gonna have to go back to school and listen to that kind of talk all the time.

I'm starting uni next month so, I've escaped the continuous 'clothes talk' (I think!), even though sometimes, like with what I said about Sara's clothes, I do comment on them, listening to people talk about clothes all the time can become rather tedious. I apologise for reminding you of school, we should all be enjoying the summer break!

Back on topic though - some of those pics look like they may be a at a festival or something or an outdoor venue. I don't think they were all taken at the same place.

Heh, thats okay. I just want to be done with school forever.

What exactly is uni?

Uni... university, college. real college though. you also have polytech, the Tech school which is real working-college. Uni is for people who want to be teachers, Poly for people who want to be architects or electricians... yes?
correct me if i am wrong Elizabeth, but when i started referring to my own small Comm Coll as Uni (cause it IS a State University) i decided to learn exactly what i was calling it that for :)
anyway back to topic, i was very into those pictures and wish DixieMedley would emerge from hiding to tell us about them!

Um actually I didn't attend the MAS concert in Portland fiddlincklcrker. I'm back home for the summer and NC doesn't tour Hawaii usually. :( The only pics I have are from the concert they did in April

Warning!: Off topic post, but relivant to this thread because it has kinda been brought up in conversation...

Chickzilla & Tinuviel Girl - You're right, Polys do tend to be for the more skills based type of jobs like electricians and things. I actually have to admit, I'm not entirely sure what defines an establishment as a university. All I know is I'm going to a university to study Business Management & Marketing and at the end of it I'll have my little piece of paper with my qualification on it and it a couple of letters after my name. Chickzilla, I don't think universities are necessarily for people who want to become teachers, I don't intend on becoming a teacher. You can study stacks of stuff at universities and get degrees. Although, things could run a bit differently in the US, I know from looking at some of the American universities you have a whole lot more subjects on offer to you. If I ever wanted to do a degree in the US, I'd need a year just to decide on what course to do, there are so many great ones I'd love to do; and I quite fancied doing my degree over there but it's far too expensive for me as an international student so I couldn't do it.

Back on topic, now that I think about it, I don't think I've seen DixieMedley around the boards for a while.

Hmm ... I haven't seen DixieMedley either.

DIXIE, .... , DIXIE?!?!?

LOL!

oh i was just comparing the profession of teaching to the profession of say, electrician or architect as one is something you can do over amultitude of things (teach various subjects on a few skills of each) and one definitely requires the most skill and specialisation.
i think i last saw Dixie in the Off Topic forum about a month ago... i forget if it was longer ago than that though. maybe someone should pm her and see if she has an e-mail alert on it and will come back to us!
