I saw NC about 18 months ago at the Quest. I really think adding percussion and a kick-ass bass really added to the show.

Highlights (not necessarily in order):

Bringing Dan Wilson (Semisonic) up to do a song Sugar.
Chris sticking Subterranean Homesick Blues in the middle of The Fox
John Paul Jones playing a nice mando/guitar duet with Sean on Led Zep's Going to California
Smoke-free at the bands request!

Sounds really cool! It also looks like you just joined the forum so here is a welcome. WELCOME TO THE BOARDS!!!
I personally loved the Homesick Blues part in the fox. My dad was like do they play that on their cd and I told him unfortunatly not. But Sean's solo with JPJ was great!

Yep, I am new to this site. Probably more like your Dad's age (growing up in the Stone Age when Led Zep ruled!). My son got me into NC, and this was a great show.

Personally, I thought the live show was a lot better than the album. The album was a little too much Toad with NC way far back in the mix.

Welcome to the boards!

Sounds like a cool night, and to get Dan Wilson too would be great - hope someone taped it! Smoke free would be nice, I've only ever been to one smoke free gig and that was just because the venue don't allow it, as it is in a listed building with fancy paintings on the walls and stuff.
