If any Boston Nickel Creek fans are looking for a ticket to the show at the Paradise tonight, I've got an extra one--the friend who was supposed to come along with me cancelled. PM me if interested...

The show was excellent. The set-list was the same as the San Francisco show, I think. It was hot in there though! And after the show, we walked out into a ial downpour with flash flooding. So, I don't know if they band stuck around inside afterwards or not.
Poor Sean had an air conditioner above his head that started dripping on him about half-way through the show. He turned to the others and said something like, So how's the weather over there? Is it raining yet? Prompting Chris to play a few notes of Singin' In the Rain. Glen said, That's okay you're wireless. Oh, no, you're electric for this song. Oh, well, so you'll get electrocuted. People will just think you're rocking out, Sean!

Poor Sean, but that is funny what Glen said.

paradise was very hot. I was gross and sweaty, so the downpours were welcomed. Though the ial downpours appeared to have destroyed all opportunity to meet the band afterwards.
However, the rain let up a little bit while my friend and I were driving away, so we decided to come back, and low and behold, Sara Watkins was outside chatting with people. At first she didn't seem all that approachable, but I mustered up the strength to say hi, and I got a nice pic with her.
Glen then popped out of no where, and my attention got diverted to him. I told him he rocked on Trouble. The conversation was a bit awkward... He was tired maybe?
I then had to opportunity to chat with Sean Watkins about his solo album that he is working on. I asked him if Starve to Death was going to be on his album, and he looked at me like he had no clue and then, Oh yeah, it is. Something to that effect. I found that to be a bit odd. Sean then talked a little bit about how different his new album is going to be... somethign about it being a mix of bluegrass and pop, and that he wasn't really sure how to describe it. He also talked a bit about Chris' new solo album, coming out in Oct., describeing it as gawdy but also very good. I think he also mentioned something about Chris' Locking Doors being on Chris' new cd.
After that chat, we waited for Chris Thile. it seemed like a good half hour to an hour before he emerged from the bus. He was in a bit of a rush, so he just signed autographs and such.
All in all, out of everyone I met, Sean was definitely the greatest as far as amiability, at least this night. Everyone else seemed too tired or rushed for reasons that don't concern me, but I wouldn't blame them; They put on an AMAZING show.
Jean Paul Jones was amusing. it was sometimes difficult to understand him, being so soft-spoken with a British accent.
Sara playing the ukulele was a treat. Waht was the name of the song?
I'll post some pics when i get them developed:)

Alas, I didn't get any pictures since I forgot to bring a camera. The song that Sara played on the ukulele was called Anthony. I am excited to hear that Locking Doors will be on Chris's upcoming CD since I enjoyed hearing them play that the first time I saw them. I forgot to mention that they did give out the solo sampler CDs at the Boston show. It says on the sampler CD that Sean will be releasing his album in early 2005.

Here is a pic from the Boston Show. I was about 5 feet from Sara at all times!!!
The show was just tremendous. I definitely have to go out and buy some Glen Philips CDs now. Not much else to add to what has already been said. I wanted to stick around after the show, but the rain forced me home.
The only unfortunate thing was after a few pictures the security staff started to go around telling people no pictures. It would have been nice to have been told ahead of time, but I did get a few pics. (without the flash).
Here is one, we will see how well it posts and i'll do the rest later.
